I would like to see us resign Nunez. but that does not solve the issues we have at first base. Ideally it is the perfect spot for Devers, especially if we resign Nunez. Ps: we can also use next year to teach chavis the joys of left field.

I think you hit the nail on the head, scouting has a natural bias against smaller players. didn't we see the same thing when pedroia was drafted? Aren't we having this same conversation about chavis now?

Last year Lester worked almost exclusively with Ross and lester had a very nice year. This year, Ross is retired and Lester is not having as nice a year. Sometimes pitchers and catchers develop chemistry. When it works, you ride it.

Isn't that the beauty of a deep bullpen, Farrell gets to move mix and match based on matchups and game conditions?

I have always believed there is a place in the majors for pitchers who are successful at getting guys out. Beeks gets guys out!
