  1. Getting back to the playoffs for a second. If the Guardians finish with the best record, in the al followed by Houston and us and the Yankees with the wildcard game. Would we have to go to Houston for the first series and the Yankees go to Cleveland?
  2. Have we decided to move devers to first base next season?
  3. Was it really Ben or was it Larry puppeteering both signings from behind the curtain?
  4. He's played all year with a bad shoulder. If he was healthy all year, would the results be better? We will never know.
  5. Hembre still scares me every time he takes the field. I think Maddox could follow workman as the next home grown reliever to excel.
  6. Devers was struggling with inside pitches, but he seems to have made an adjustment. So glad we called him up.
  7. His wrist will determine if bogey can bounce back and start hitting this season. For as hot as benintendi was in early to mid august, he is that cold in early september. Mookie continues to mystify me. For all his talent, he just is not performing with the bat like he is capable of.
  8. I do not know if they are tired but I know several are playing injured. Pedroia, Hanley, bogey, Bradley, etc.
  9. Porcello's two seam appears to have lost it's bite again. I am hopeful he gets it back soon.
  10. Benintendi still raking against yankee pitching, 5 of his 19 taters in New York! Wow
  11. Sox hitters were zero for 10 with risp! Ps: benintendi with two hits and three walks.
  12. Not sure Wright will ever be the pitcher he was two years ago. Desperate dave got burned very badly at third base this year thinking a veteran could get back to what he was before. I doubt he makes that mistake again. I imagine a relief pitcher or two as part of a package will need to go to get a quality starter or hitter.
  13. Denyi Reyes very hot the last month or so!
  14. Matta tonight, love this kid's delivery. 6 innings, 6 hits, 1 er, 2 walks, 7 strike outs. Dalbec with another tater.
  15. I think we could see some relief pitchers move on this offseason as desperate dave has to come up with a hitter and possibly another starter. (Depending on price's elbow)
  16. I am a huge Maddox fan when he is throwing in control. Love the delivery and the late movement he gets on the heater. In my perfect world we sign wade Davis and ransom Kimbrel to the nationals for turner, Robles and fedde.
  17. I thought bogey was starting to put together a hot streak, but he has looked pretty bad lately. I think the wrist is still bothering him so dropping him to 9th makes a lot of sense.
  18. Has Baltimore stopped scoring yet today? Feels like deja vu?
  19. Moreland with a relief inning pitched last night! No runs. Could be the start of a new career path for him.
  20. If what you are saying is true, and we are a couple games into the start of a cold spell. And if each cold spell last 10 to 12 games. This might be the year we enter the playoffs on a hot steak.
  21. It would be extremely helpful if Hanley got hot for the rest of the season. Just how bad is his shoulder?
  22. One other thing to consider. Would Rodriguez need surgery in the offseason for his often injured knee? If he does, how would that impact our 2018, especially if he can not return until June, assuming nine months rehab,
  23. Man! That game was uglier than a Steinbrenner family reunion on Halloween!
  24. Between now and the end of the season, we need our offense to quit running hot and cold and get some consistent play out of these guys. Seems like too many of our hitters take 10 games off, then get hot for 10 games. In addition, it would be nice if we could field 9 healthy guys every game.
  25. Farrell is not perfect in how he handles the pen. He makes bizarre moves that make us scratch our heads. But the results have been mostly good. Our bullpen is over worked, had a constant stream of bodies go through and contributed a 5 plus WAR. The biggest job ahead for Farrell is get these guys roles set for the rest of the year and try to manage the workloads.
