    We have some enticing pieces we could package for a starter. But Hang'em Chaim looks like he wants to do the opener thing with us in 2020.

    As much as I can not stand the Yankees, last I looked, they had 20 plus championships more than us, Although almost 2/3 of their great teams of the 20’s were our guys that our owner sold off to them to finance broadway plays! So technically, we probably would have won most of those.

    If we get a reset this year, next offseason could be interesting. However, would bloom trade martinez at the trade deadline this upcoming year if someone offered us a bag of used baseballs for him?

    Really wish we could have gotten the Tampa analytics dept to come to Fenway. Desperate Dave ran off all of our brightest and best and now all we have left are a few “D” players, a hand full of high school drop outs, a dozen developmentally challenged kids and a guy running the department who couldn’t get laid in a women’s prison! No wonder Henry cheaped out and got them fake championship rings! Ouch!

    Of all our “way too easily injured starters”, price is the one that has the best shot at bouncing back in 2020! Or is our crack ownership team rolling over and playing dead before the season gets started because they are scared of the Yankees?

    If it is all about championships, why not keep Betts this year and see if our “bruise as easy as bananas” (aka our starting pitchers) have a comeback year! Lord knows they can not (as a group) be more pathetic than they were last year!

    How many unnamed sources can people quote as having knowledge of this supposed deal?

    I think we start the season as is with this team right now. If the starting pitching is not healthy or continues to under perform, you move a lot of pieces at the trade deadline for prospects.

    I do not know why st Louis is not in on Betts. With him in that line up, they could be World Series bound!

    The real question that we need answered is the health of our starting pitchers?

    I do not think hang’em Chaim is really interested in moving Betts. My guess is he listens when people call, but would be content with (at best) a July deal or (at worst) a draft pick, if our pitching is living up to their paychecks!

    So maybe hang’em chaim should have been looking to dump jd for pennies on the dollar this past off season? Rule number 1 - do not trade homegrown players.

    Seems like everybody expects the Sox to trade Betts for pennies in the dollar, except hang’em Chaim!

    Hang’em Chaim has been dangling bait all offseason and no one is biting! Plan b should be to let’s get all our pitchers healthy and use spring training to properly prepare them for the regular season and let’s go take our crown back! Interesting how history repeats itself. At the start of the 1920’s we sold 2/3’s of our team to the Yankees and we went into an 86 year tailspin, Now at the start of the 2020’s are we about trade off most of our team and start another tailspin?

    The guys on the radio said they expected him to be flown in and day now for interviews and a job offer.

    While price is never going to be a Media darling, haven’t we read in numerous publications that he is well liked and respected in the clubhouse?
