  1. This is the kind of guy that desperate Dave would have ponied up for. Hopefully hang’em Chaim does not have an overwhelming desire to sign sore armed pitchers.
  2. Did anybody actually watch him play last year. It was ugly! His swing is more screwed up than a yankee fan in a mental hospital!!!!
  3. Why? Who made the call in this?
  4. I personally like mata, especially if he starts throwing more strikes.
  5. I think price has the easiest road back and should be fine next year. Sale is one pitch away from surgery. No guarantee he makes it out of spring training. Eovaldi is a complete wild card. Rodriguez and 4 days of rain is not going to get it done for us.
  6. Hang’em chiam has a lot of evaluating to do over the next few weeks. It should be extremely interesting to see what marching orders he got from Henry and company.
  7. Desperate Dave is available!
  8. I think o’halloran is the new GM and bloom is head of baseball operations.
  9. Last July was the perfect time to unload Martinez, but once again desperate Dave screws it up and we have to pay for his mistake. Thanks Dave!
  10. Looks like Henry has learned his lesson and is getting back to the kind of baseball operations that we had prior to desperate Dave running off our brightest and best front office talent. Better late than never Henry!
  11. Another victim of the stupidity of desperate Dave!
  12. 100 million dollar talent and a ten cent head!
  13. Does Cora have any authority as it relates to managing this team? Seems like the operations department is in charge of hiring his coaches for him, giving him his line up cards and telling him how to train the players in training camp. Ps: we all know how badly that last one turned out this year!!!! Thanks desperate Dave!!!
  14. I have the perfect cure to the Yankees choking problems. Hire desperate Dave and fire cashman!
  15. Really hoping the Yankees back up the brinks truck for this guy and outbid everybody in terms of years and dollars. Cole’s shoulder is hanging by a thread.
  16. What did we gain from this move?
  17. Dude, did you forget to take your meds? Desperate Dave burned all of Rome to get us that ring. We are literally in the same position now, that we were in, in 1918. The only real difference is that it only took 86 years to dig out of that hole.
  18. I would be very surprised if we can trade Bradley. And I would equally surprised if we did not tender him.
  19. Isn’t that what Ben did before everybody ran him off? (Excluding starting pitching of course)
  20. The hard reality is our starting pitching staff is full of sore armed pitchers. (Thanks desperate dave) We should not be trying to sign a mega deal with anybody. We should let agents use us to other teams as a stalking horse, because then they will owe us in the future. Our plan should be: 1.) hits freidman as head of baseball operations. 2.) sign 1 year prove it deals for certain pitchers and have them earn a long term contract from someone else. 3.) get someone for the back end of the bullpen!
  21. John Henry, Please call Friedman in Los Angeles. Give him whatever he wants and secure him as our head of baseball operations!
  22. statistically don’t pitchers that have a huge jump in innings pitched from year 1 to year 2, have a down year in year 3?
  23. Dismantling seems kind of harsh! In my mind, we did not properly work out starters in spring training, they subsequently broke down and we were eliminated from entry to the post season faster than Yankees fans seeking entrance to Mensa! The one pitcher (rodriguez) who was worked properly in spring training had a career year. So the task remains, if we think we can fix the starting pitching and add a closer, we have a roster that can win it all next season. 1.) I think price rebounds post surgery and does his usual thing next season. 2.) rodriguez will regress some, but still should be solid. 3.) I think evaldi improves next season, if he can stay healthy. 4.) we have to replace Porcello. 5.) where is sale’s shoulder and elbow? My guess is he is one pitch from Tommy John next season, so we need a viable option for him,
  24. Looking on the bright side: Amazingly Cora is going to get us out of this season with a winning record. When you consider the terrible decisions desperate Dave made in spring training concerning the lack of conditioning for our pitching staff, the subsequent physical breakdown of those poorly prepared pitchers and our reliance on numerous horrible pitchers that do not have major league stuff for the month of September, it is truly amazing we finished this year with a winning record!!!!
