Maybe we should trade Mayer to get Stroman from the Mets?
-
don't we have some young stud named York in our system to play 2B?

A Realistic View of 2023: Part II
Randy Red Sox replied to moonslav59's topic in Boston Red Sox Talk
There is zero chance we are getting both Stroman and Snell. I have already given my views on Stroman but Snell would be ok depending on what it costs. My fear though as with many Tampa pitchers they move on from his best days may be behind him. -
It would have been nice to get a SP since our BP is fairly decent but still likely a good trade.

wow is that all it ever does in Boston is rain?? -
I can't read your posts. You need to stop twisting where you post your reply. The answer to getting more good pitching in theory. not sure why this happen but after i have typed a reply i get a message saying that my reply is only 3 words and i need to post a longer reply. no idea why this since my replies are ALWAYS longer than 3 words system should not mean drafting players with lower chances of succeeding, just because they are pitchers. I'm not a huge Yorke fan, but I think that draft was between decent to good.

if they trade Mayer i will drive to Boston and give Bloom a ride to the airport. don't disagree that story might still be hurt though. Terrible signing from day 1 He won't be ML ready until late 2024 or 2025. By then, our whole roster may be different. Mayer might be traded. Story might still be getting hurt.

I totally disagree and I don't even see a spot for Yorke even if he does pan out. Bloom had the Mookie trade and this 1st rd pick to get a young quality SP yet somehow he let 3 get away that they already had. The Red Sox have ALWAYS been able to hit but almost never have enough pitching. I have been watching this for about 40 years now.omeone else said that, but they obviously liked Yorke, a lot. He was a good pick. It was a good draft. I still do not know why you choose this specific draft to complain about. There is so many more worthy things to complain about, IMO.[/b]

and what FA SP would that be??

How does Buck Showalter keep getting hired?? He is one negative SOB and probably the worst manager in all of MLB -
I thought the whole point with drafting Yorke 100 spots ahead of his ranking was so we could get Jordan and now we re willing to trade him??

Carassco is throwing meatball. Just awful !!! -
Cora's loyalty to Kike could cost him his job. If the Sox miss the post season again I'd get rid of both Cora and Bloom
-
Jays have bigger needs than SP. They need a RH bat, then another BP arm and then maybe another SP. They do have Rhyu coming back very soon
-
He's a head case. Where I live we get loads of Jays coverage and trust me most people don't want Stroman back.
-
Well Bloom doesn't draft P until the late rounds.
-
lol
-
thanks for the explanation. so now i have found the gamely thread so I will post there. like my title says I am a rookie here
-
and where else would you put it as I don't see a game day thread on here. Sorry to offend you. I simply wanted to know.
-
can someone explain to me why Kike was batting for Duran {2/4} with 2 out in the 9th today against a RH reliever?? I can only assume that Duran was hurt??
-
well he's not coming for some low level prospect either
-
The guy is a head case that's why and he'd only be a rental and would cost too many of Bloom's prized prospects to acquire. Never said the guy couldn't pitch.
-
yeah but how many last place finishes did the Orioles have before reaching this level? It would take at least 3 more last place finishes for the Sox to match them.
-
Why wouldn't it?
