  1. it will be whoever Bloom can find tht will sign a 1 yr deal
  2. So does Justin Turner who makes less than JDM I believe
  3. just what the Sox need--another SS
  4. Sox are benefitting by the new balanced schedule for sure. Overall they are about a .525 team but if they were playing under the old schedule format they would not have the same record likely. They are not a bad team but certainly not a true WS contender.
  5. moonslav--wow. not great for jersey sales
  6. hey Splinter how r u doing?? I remember you from the old Red Sox forum and Love our Sox
  7. I don't think Bloom had any interest in bringing Wacha back at all. He is a metrics guy and Wacha didn't fit. Bloom will just keep bring in Kluber, Richards, Wacha types on 1 yr deals and hope he hits on a few.
  8. Chaim Bloom is the king of the one yer deals. Not good for jersey sales lol
  9. let's wait till everyone is healthy at the same time which is still a ways off. baseball has a funny way of changing quickly.
  10. That is not really saying a lot
  11. we need to move on from Bogarts as sad as it is that he is gone. We need to focus on the current roster that Chaim Bloom has constructed [ or destructed as it may be} Somehow our payroll is only slightly lower yet we are poised to finish last in the AL East for the 3rd year in Bloom's 4 year tenure in Boston. People keep talking about the vastly improved farm system Bloom has built but save for Mayer what true blue chip prospects has Bloom brought to Boston? And more importantly what blue chip pitching prospects has he added? Bloom came from an organization known for it's ability to draft and develop top young pitching talent. We let several top players walk for nothing { Eovaldi, JDM, Bogaerts} when we SHOULD have gotten something back for all of them given we were out of the race at last yr's deadline.
  12. And Yoshida has 5 years to go
