    or maybe they need better scouts. i've met plenty of scouts over the years. and some of them i wouldn't trust to scout a little league team.

    i'm still puzzled how the Sox ever signed Masa. was there not anyone that actually went to Japan to watch him play? seriously? it almost strikes me as a situation where Bloom the uber-nerd just looked at his numbers and signed him from that rather than, you know.....actually watching him waddle around the field. yeah...we're so smart we don't need no stinkin' scouts. 😂

    i'd do the first one in a heartbeat. you could swap out story for mayer and i'd still do that one. i'm not that high on Neto, but i'd probably do that one as well. maybe.
