  1. and i think Kluber would be Exhibit A on why you don't rely solely on them.
  2. 478 divided by 62 is 7.7. you just forgot to hit the 1.
  3. i don't think that's right. looks like the Sox walked 478 times last year. over 162 games, that's 2.95.
  4. someone on Facebook claimed the reason Kluber has been so bad and Wacha so good is the weather -nice and mild in SD while cold and clammy in Boston. LOL. yeah, that's it.
  5. well....after Pham was signed, he played in 53 of the Sox 58 games with 235 PA. During that time, Ref only had about 60 PA and started 10 games, despite a higher OPS than Pham. And many of those starts were at the very end of the season when they were well out of it. I don't know, maybe they felt Pham had a better glove.
  6. yet for reasons i still don't understand, Cora seemed to favor Pham over Ref last year.
  7. i normally hate the way Cora rests his biggest bat -Devers. but sitting some guys whose bats have gone cold has turned out well tonite. good job Cora.
  8. maybe he needs to lay off the fWAR and stick with bWAR.
  9. throw in Mondesi's $3M and you're talking real money.
  10. say what? Wacha was better than Kluber last year by almost any measure. Same this year.
  11. why did Cora replace Dugo with Tapia?
  12. this is what happens when the worst hitting team in the league meets the worst pitching staff in the league.
  13. He was safe. Not sure what's up with Cora. Maybe he doesn't care.
