i'd give Bloom credit for signing Wacha and then blame him for not resigning him this past winter. but honestly, i think the only reason Bloom signed him to begin with is because he was relatively cheap.
maybe the Dodgers, Astros and Rays just have better scouts and/or MiLB coaches. their farms produce MLB talent. ours produces boiled crap, at least when it comes to pitching prospects.

friend of mine is a huge Dodgers fan. he felt the same away about Jansen as we did about Barnes and Braiser -couldn't wait to see him playing somewhere else.
agreed. i remember, more than once, Barnes coming in top of the 9th, blowing the save, then getting the win after the Sox came back in the bottom of the 9th. dumb as hell how they award wins. and losses.
