  1. yeah, i agree. after the top 20 or so, the difference in skill level and the ability to determine such diminishes and equals out at the same time, with exceptions of course.
  2. i damn sure don't. i don't know if they drafted well or not but i am glad they only drafted a couple of HS kids. IDGAF what any board or expert says, i just think -with a few very obvious exceptions- that it is insane to pick HS kids over college kids, unless its the later rounds of the draft where, like notin mentioned, there probably isn't that much separation. high school kids have only proved that they are good against other high school players.
  3. i'm a little confused with everyone saying the Sox are taking the BPA. with the 50th pick, they took the 87th best player. with the 86th pick of the draft, they took the 193rd best player. and so on. so....clearly they aren't taking "the best player available" or the BPA is like everything else: just someone's opinion. or i'm confused. wouldn't be the first time.
  4. speaking of not making a serious effort at a reasonable extension....i wonder why Lowball Johnny hasn't made one to AC yet? because he's Lowball JOhnny and doesn't respect the talents of guys like Mookie, Lester, Bogey and Cora?
  5. lol...
  6. ouch. a truly sad indictment of the Sox FO.
  7. all that does is make me believe that JH is a turd too.
  8. well....i'm not sure every team really needs pitching but yeah.
  9. until one of Bloom's players starts putting up Mookiesque numbers, he'll always be a turd to me.
  10. Trevor Bauer would work for peanuts. not signing him is incompetence.
  11. duh. i just think it's hilarious that they drafted a guy that was injured. they literally paid Paxton and Hendricks to rehab as well as Adalberto who never even played a f***ing game for the Sox. brilliant signing there. then they trade Sale because well....he got hurt a lot. but wasn't hurt when they traded him. so....they traded him for spite or to save $10M. i hope the guy is an all-star. and, on the bright side...he's not a HS "suspect".
  12. they drafted a guy that's injured. but healing nicely. LOLOLOLOL. gotdamn what a bunch of f***ing idiots.
  13. far better than i expected. but....it's still early. alotta games left to be played. i think our bats are fine, another pitcher by the deadline might help us get across the finish line.
  14. you keep repeating this ******** over and over. funny how you leave out the team with the best record in baseball with the 4th biggest payroll -the Philadelphia Phillies, run by the same Dave Dombrowski you're always trashing. you're cherry-picking a few numbers to support some ******** theory you have.
  15. Sam had his fingers crossed when he said that.
  16. 7 of the Orioles top 9 batters are over .740.
  17. the Romero Line. after journeyman Boston infielder Ed Romero. career OPS.... .600.
  18. i read this forum for years before joining. you guys here all know your s*** and fairly judge what is going on with this team and FO. can't say i agree with every post from every poster, but i can usually understand their position.
  19. if he's such a middle of the road prospect then Breslow got f***ed on this deal even worse than i thought.
  20. Breslow got him a dandy in Wingenter. LOL.
  21. i can totally see this happening.
