I would like to know what they offered E Rod, and if, and what they have offered Bogey.

Going by Kennedy’s, and Blooms year end presser, and not signing E Rod, because contract was to long, and big, and no names to replace him what do you think will be the most likely option?

Like I’ve said before don’t mistake making diving catches as being good when some would get better jumps, and not having to dive at all.

Casey Stengel called Piersall the best he ever saw, and he managed Mays, and Mantal.

Well the longer you’ve been watching the more choices you have. I didn’t see Jimmy Piersall play with the Sox, but I’ve heard from a few that did that he was the best defensive CF the Sox ever had.

Ok, but I wasn’t talking about just people on here, but sports in general. I don’t care for any kind of analytics, and never will. I know I’m in the minority on that, and that’s the way the sports world is today, but just my opinion.

Like I said you are the only one I heard say that about Kike. We need to get others on here who have 50+ years watching the Red Sox, and see if they agree with you that Kike is the best defensive CF the Sox have ever had.

I could care less about all the analytics that you guys throw out there about anybody. Player, or position. All I said was that the Sox could do better than Kike as the CF for the next 4-5 years. What does JBJ have to do with the next 4-5 years?

Let’s pump the brakes again on Kike. He did a good job last year, and when he was hot he was hot, but only averaged 250 last year, and is a career 242 hitter. Next 4-5 years as the starting CF? No, and the Sox can do better than that, and NO he’s not the best CF the Red Sox ever had like Moon claims he is, so pump the brakes them pump them again.

If they are going to sign anyone to expensive deals it will be Bogey, and Raffy, and if not it won’t be for anybody right now.

If you sign any of these guys, and don’t trade Bogey then where is all the money coming from to add pitching?

I don’t think Bogey will be following the same road as Betts, and get traded, and I also don’t think Baez will get signed.

I know that, so they should have asked for a different pitcher.

Well we always need pitching, and that is why we should have gotten some back in the Betts deal.
