  1. I didn’t know this was a debate club, and if you don’t answer something to the exact wording that a question is asked the major crime unit comes in to investigate. You say it’s pointless to debate, but you keep on trying to do it, and in the process no one’s mind is getting changed.
  2. This is how it all started, because you didn’t like that 2 people, who one of them was me voted they would not offer Evol anything. That to me, and my opinion was the best answer to the question. Not that I don’t think Evol is a good pitcher, but I don’t think he was worth the other answers. I don’t care if you, or anybody else liked my vote, or my opinion, and try as hard as you want, but my opinion right, or wrong is not going to change.
  3. My only statement was that I don’t believe Evol is worth $20M, and nothing more than that. If that’s criticizing someone’s plan then I’m guilty.
  4. You still haven’t figured out something that is so obvious that I don’t care about context.what you don’t get is just , because you think you aren’t saying Cora is wrong doesn’t mean you aren’t saying Cora is wrong, and there is Nothing wrong with saying Cora is wrong. Saying someone is wrong has nothing to do with if you like them , or not. Hell you, and I disagree all the time, and I don’t dislike you.
  5. Another like one of your famous quotes that I don’t agree with Cora, but I don’t think Cora is wrong.
  6. And that was wrong how? Either Evol gets resigned, or he doesn’t. If he signs with the Red Sox I’ll have no problem saying I was wrong.
  7. Who’s plan did I criticize by saying Evol is not worth $20M? Who says I have to have a plan? I’ve seen you present many BTV trades on here, but when has one ever happened? You still haven’t answered if you trust Bloom to build this team for 2023, and beyond. I don’t have trouble understanding questions. I didn’t know it was mandatory to have a plan, but sorry if I don’t have one.opinions I do have just like everyone else.
  8. Since when do posters stick with thread subjects?
  9. I never said I had a plan to fix the problem, and I’ll admit I’m to lazy to produce one. All I have said is I don’t believe Evol is worth $20M+, and I’m predicting Bloom thinks the same way. I’m not an QB, but I’m an armchair QB, and I’m not a driver, but a backseat driver, and if I see something out there I’ll agree, or disagree. Most on here have said they would pay Evol $20M+ We’ll and see who is right.
  10. Like I have said many times prospects, are suspects, and useless until they show up in Boston in a Red Sox uniform, and produce, or a traded for someone like Sale, or CK who does. What are Winckowski, Bello, or Sebold’s Red Sox stats?
  11. And also 1 game away from not making the postseason at all..
  12. My first priority in a plan would be to lock up Bogey, and Raffy, and then go from there. If that doesn’t happen then I don’t really care at this point.
  13. An Ace is always better to have, but ours was 11-9 last year.
  14. Whitlock is not from the farm, but the Yankees farm.
  15. Wouldn’t you want to know what the rest of the team is going to look like next year, before you offered Evol anything? And once again do you trust Bloom to build a team for next year, and beyond?
  16. I don’t have an answer for why the Sox can’t grow a starter on the farm? Well I guess you have to start for bad drafts. Ball, and Groome are two I can think of. Houck is a work in progress, but it’s a fact the Red Sox have had trouble in that area. You could even go back to Bard, and Barnes who were drafted as starters.
  17. What has the farm grown for starters in the last 5 years, and who says you have to trade for an ace??
  18. Moon, no one knows what the 2023 will even remotely look like, so no I would not offer him $20M/1 for 2023. Do you know what the team will look like next year, and do you trust Bloom to put it together?
  19. Wrong assumptions. I would not pay any pitcher $300M +, and I wasn’t basing Cole on 1 postseason appearance, but only to point out the Yankees have not won anything with Cole, and his many millions.
  20. No matter how you slice it, and dice it to me Evol is still not worth $20M+ a year. Someone will pay him, but I don’t believe the Red Sox.
  21. Cole crapped his pants in front of millions, and millions, and that’s what you paid millions, and millions for. Now that was hilarious.
  22. I’ll pass on them all, and Even ERod who I said I would have resigned at the time. Starting pitchers to me aren’t worth what they used to be, and if you can’t grow some on the farm, which the Red Sox are having trouble doing then it gets real expensive to go out, and get one, and then you have to be lucky to get a good one. I keep repeating that Evol is a career 62-66 record in other words a losing pitcher for his career that I don’t think is worth $20+M for any length of time.
  23. I’m going on record as saying Evol will not resign with the Red Sox.
