Nobody is saying they will fail, and no one is saying they will sign worse players but I said it could happen once again it could happen, and you could go backwards. Once again it was could happen. What good does it do to have all kinds of money coming off the books if you have to use it for replacements for what you are losing? That was my main point, and I for one don’t trust Bloom. I’m not counting on any big signing like Judge, and like Raffy his paycheck is getting bigger everyday, and at this point I’m not sure JH will open his checkbook for Raffy. Once again I was just throwing the possibility out there that they may end up worse off then they were, and Not that they would.

If Bobby D doesn’t pick it up soon Bobby D may be replacing someone from the Woo Sox.

It may cost more money to replace the players your losing if you want someone just as good, and I for one don’t trust Bloom. How much do you think it would cost someone compared to Bogey? You are just taking it for granted that Bloom can do this, and I don’t.

I’ve heard so many times that the Red Sox have all this money coming off the books after this year, and that is true, but if you have to take that money to use to replace all the players that the money is coming off the books from except from Price to replace them how are you ahead? Then if the players you replace with are not as good as the players being replaced, which could happen especially with Bogey you could go backwards. Doesn’t sound like that good of a plan to me.

I guess it depends on who you can get to replace him, and the cost to something comparable.

Bad Feet got Papi, and not a slowed bat. JD’s feet are fine if he doesn’t trip over 2nd base.

He would be a tough bat to replace. He might not be a 120 RBI man anymore, but he should still get you 80-100.

Tough call for $20M, or so, but he can still swing that bat for a few more years.

Story over Bogey seems like another bad Bloom trade to me, which is pretty much what it would be. After all Bogeyhas done in a Red Sox uniform, and is still doing, and Story hasn’t done a damm thing in Boston. Colorado is a long ways from Boston, and just not in miles, and yet some have been enamored with Story since the signing.

I knew you lived in Houston, but just curious if you were out on the airwaves like the famous Dick From Dayton. Nothing more than Boris was going right to the top with John, and Tom, and wasn’t going to deal with the lower level management, and especially Bloom. I have no idea what the Sox final offer to Bogey will be if it hasn’t happened already, and if it wasn’t the first offer was so low that to me wasn’t even negotiating. I want Bogey resigned, but I wouldn’t go up to $200M. Maybe John Henry should meet with Bogey out in the parking lot.

Do you visit different venues that talks about the Red Sox, or just on here? I like to broaden my horizons, and I like to hear as many different opinions as I can. Imagine if I just went on here, and thought this was the overwhelming opinion of what Red Sox Nation thinks about different topics. I wouldn’t get a very good answer to all that’s out there. Do you remember when John Henry met Lester out in the parking lot at Fenway when Lester was getting ready to leave?

Why do you think Boris said he was looking forward to setting down with Tom, and John after the season to talk about Bogey’s contract, and didn’t mention Bloom?
