  1. Always worrying on who the Red Sox would have to give up. God forbid giving up a minor league player who not all are prospects.
  2. Conjecture? Time was almost up. Stop making the Shaw, Bobby D, and Casas excuse. It didn’t work, and it should have been know long ago, and was to most. Last year was last year, and that Bobby D is over, and gone.
  3. Cases was injured long ago was he not? Was you going to wait all year to see if Bobby D got hot like last year, and stick with Dr Strangelove Franchy Cordero? Something should have been done before game 100+.
  4. To me a team like the Red Sox a big Market Team with a $200M payroll should have a plan, but not to be out of any season they are currently in. You can build for 2023, and beyond, but not at the expense of 2022. Just because they have lots of money coming off the books, and a higher ranked farm system does not mean success in 2023. Not with Bloom at the helm. 2022 should have been better than what it is.
  5. Any objective observer could have seen 1B was a problem also, and would not have waited 100 games to get an actual 1B, and only after Hosmer fell in his lap, and not something that Bloom had intending on doing if Hosmer went to Washington Franchy would still be at 1B.
  6. Agree. Like Jim Rice said that analytics never played baseball.
  7. So after all these years that Vaz has been on the team, and all the games he has caught with two months to go on his contract, and now he was traded for something analytics? A starting catcher was traded for a backup catcher. The only place I have heard that speculation is on here, and nothing official from anyone official. Interesting take, but I think there was more to it than that.
  8. It’s always amused me on here when ever I’ve mentioned any names like Shaugnessy, or Tony Mass, or Lou Meroni, or talk shows the reaction has always been consider the source. I always consider the source rather on here, or out in the vast land of Red Sox Nation. I’ll take any kind of information I can get, because I like to see what everyone thinks, but I always form my own opinion, but I never think one is better than the other, or not as good as some. To me the more, and bigger information I can get the better.
  9. I’ll say NO!, and always have no matter who the player.
  10. Yes, but probably not from the Sox, and if that happens will you be happy with the team losing 3 potential HOF in a 4 year period?
  11. Devers is one of those guys who just want to play, and hit, so even if he is pissed off, and unhappy i don’t think that would faze him.
  12. I agree his bat has had holes for sometime now after a great start, and maybe things have gotten to him, but it sounds like the whole clubhouse isn’t happy, and that is not a good thing, but even that should not be an excuse for not playing well. I think Bogey is either hurting, or is in a daze faze, or both.
  13. I’ll agree with my buddy Moon that at the moment the leaders on the team, Bogey, and JD are not leading, or performing well at all, but they got rid of Vaz who was also a leader, and was performing well. On the other hand Bloom, and Cora who start at the top of the leaderboard haven’t performed well this year either, so I’m all in, and let’s clean house of everyone. There was, and his plenty of blame to go around.
  14. Yes he did, but that was before the Vaz trade, and he doesn’t sound so happy now, and even worse he sure isn’t playing like it.
  15. You are right that Devers is hitting great, but I was talking long term, and staying in Boston, which I don’t see especially if Bogey is gone.
  16. There was a cloud hanging over the team before the season started, and no not Frail, but that cloud is called Bloom.
  17. For the most part except for a few weeks when Duran actually was hitting something, and starting with the Super Hero Kike the Red Sox have not had a leadoff hitter all year.
  18. Bloom has lost everybody, and the meeting just made things worse. I think Bloom lost Bogey, and Devers before the season even started with those insulting lowball contract offers.
  19. No one said Renfroe was homegrown talent. Bradley a better overall player? Just, because the Brewers were crazy enough to give JBJ the contract they did that I don’t believe the Red Sox would ever have given him does not mean that. No doubt about JBJ’s D, but for the most part can’t hit a lick. Renfroe, and his 96 RBI were a big part of the Red Sox success last year getting to the PS, and would have helped the Red Sox moe this year than JBJ did. Nobody holds trading Mookie against Bloom, but what he got back in the deal just a JAG, and a minor league player in Downs who’s turned out not to be a prospect at all.
  20. If this game would have been at Fenway I wouldn’t have blamed the fans if they would have gotten up, and all walked out. Matter of fact I would have encouraged it.
  21. What’s worse Bloom bringing DHern back up, or Cora putting him in the game when Whitlock had been warming up. I’d say all of the above.
  22. Cora’s decision, so blame him.
  23. Cora go sit down, and think about your dumb pitching move. What a clown show he has MC’d tonight.
  24. That is true, but this is a Cora’s pitching decision.
