  1. And all this time I thought injuries, and underperforming of players got us to where we are right now. That to me is a lot bigger reason than blaming DD for trading away prospects, and the exaggeration of wiping out the farm.
  2. I know where we are a losing last place in the division team. A division that we have been in for many years now.I have been a Red Sox fan longer than you. I have also said that JH has been a good owner, but where we differ is that to me the Red Sox didn’t win any rings for many many years had more to do with circumstances on the field than if JH was the owner, or not in all those years. I go one year at a time, and judge them for what they are good, or bad, and that works for me. To say we’re in 10th place in the league is not good no matter how you slice it, and dice it.
  3. Good! I call Bloom, and tell him he’s on notice, and his job is on the line.
  4. Nor does how many rings the Red Sox have won under JH make it alright for all the last place finishes.
  5. Poor, poor Bloom! What did he sign up for?
  6. Would a repeat of 2022 make it bad enough?
  7. Like I keep saying a ring in 2021 would not make it right to be a losing last place in the division team in 2022.
  8. But when the WL record isn’t good the defense team has to go to something else to try to make things out to be better than they really are.
  9. Ah those bad, bad Bloom-Bashers. I know your all exited about this new catching tandem, but they are just two backups to me. Just, because we have them under control for a number of years doesn’t mean they are that good. WL record is all that matters. You always try to make it the hits will offset the misses, but only works if that results in a winning team no matter what league, or division the Red Sox might play in. Works for some, but not for others.
  10. And not signed Schwarber?
  11. Over exaggerated again, because I never said Bloom was a Bum. I was talking more about patting on the back more for the losing record, and last place in the division finish that was costing $200+M. True that DD signed Sale, JD, and Evol, but Bloom has had 3 years to work on something, so that all these expiring contracts didn’t come due at once, and that includes Bogey, and yet they pretty much are just going to run out, and not getting much back to show for it.Not very creative, or ingenious to me.
  12. Ah the old blame DD. Of course Bloom hasn’t done much in his 3 yrs on the job to rectify the situation except trading Mookie. Now I guess the big plan is to let some of the expiring contracts just run out. Ingenious!
  13. Well done, and don’t forget that Bloom is still looking for that third option at the fork in the road. Stay tuned to see if he finds it.
  14. 8-10-18 8 games under 500 10th place in the league 18th place overall JH should be pissed that this is what he’s paying $200M+ for. Think he’s patting Bloom on the back, and saying a job well done?
  15. I saw all I wanted to see. Bello has lots of promise, but I think he needs more consistency before he can be counted on as a top of a rotation starter.
  16. Turned it off after Bello left.
  17. Day dreaming.
  18. You worry about it then, because I’m not. I’m for locking up Bogey, and Raffy, and then going out, and sign Judge, and the Trumpet Man closer from the Mets. If the Red Sox are going to charge those high ticket prices make it worth going to Fenway to watch unlike this year. Let’s go!
  19. San Diego’s does.
  20. If SD signs Soto long term with their other 2 huge contracts what’s another $16M for Snell?
  21. Just one of many tough calls that have to be made this off season.
  22. Agree, and we know the biggest question with Arroyo is him staying on the field. If he could that would save lots of money to spend in other areas.
  23. Many don’t want to mess that up are not Cora, and Bloom, and like I said before don’t count out Arroyo as a plan at 2B, which would even save more money.
  24. Why is everyone just assuming that Story isn’t the SS next year? Nothing has been said from Cora, or Bloom. Story at SS, and Arroyo at 2B would not surprise me at all. It’s not what I would want to see, but it wouldn’t surprise me that would be the plan going into next season if Bogey goes bye, bye.
