  1. So you already have Bogey gone, and if that is the case you don’t have Story going to SS, which may happen, and also Arroyo to 2B. Whitlock may also may end up back in the rotation, so you are going on a lot of assumptions that may be right, or wrong, but until something happens no one really knows, but if my possibilities happens that changes lots of things does it not?
  2. You are right in the fact that the Red Sox are a last place team too, but a good closer is a good way to make the club better, and I’m not going to count on Houck, or Whitlock to be that person if i want to make the team better that has a long way to go. Yes Whitlock, and Houck made the backend of the BP better when they got put there, but look what they had before. They can set up a good reliable closer, and yes I know you all disagree, but most of the good clubs have one except the Dodgers that may come back to bite them in the post season, which I Hope Jansen, and the Braves do.
  3. Jansen picked up his 40th save yesterday, and Bard got his 33rd for the last place Rockies, but nah the Red Sox don’t need anyone like that. Tony Mass had a interesting point the other night during the Sox broadcast about pick up Diaz from the Mets. Made more sense in what the Red Sox tried to do this year. Sound the trumpets!
  4. 3-16-9 The Red Sox finished a woeful 3-16 against the Jays 9 games now under 500.
  5. Not on what counts the most. W-L is what decides who’s in, and who’s out, and the last I looked the Red Sox are out, so narrow, or not W-L counts more than anything.
  6. Now we can add unbalanced, and not levelheaded. The hits just keep on coming, and all the while the Sox get record gets further, and further from 500.
  7. New details that came out today said the mutual option on Pham is for $12M, and not $6M.
  8. The funny part is you get flummoxed, and frustrated, by the so called Bashers, and the Bashers get frustrated with Bloom. I feel your pain.
  9. Childish, bitching, bashing, and narrow minded, and all in one’s nights work.Bloom brings out the best in all of us.
  10. You are the one calling it bashing, but to me it’s criticizing what I see, and the results, because of it, and that I admit to.
  11. Saying the Red Sox are sitting at the kiddie table, because of being in last place is bad? Embarrassing maybe, but so is last place.
  12. Honestly I would rather not have any reasons to not be a basher at all.
  13. The kiddie table has been used for sometime now. No one has said either that the Red Sox are as bad as their record, but for the 100 time the WL record is what counts. Last year the team probably wasn’t as good as their record indicated, but once again the WL record is what counts, and it works both ways.
  14. Resort to the old name calling, which I’m not going to stoop to do. I don’t mind at all being called a Bloom Basher, because there are plenty of reasons to do so. Playoffs? Did someone say playoffs?
  15. I’ve never said strength of schedule does not factor in anyones record, but the bottom line is that ALL the other teams in the ALE this ear had a winning record, and the Red Sox did not, so the way I see it is you have two options, which are either get better, or not, and continue to sit at the kiddie table with a losing record attached to you.
  16. Bloom Bashers who bitched! Wow! How much more original can you get?
  17. What were the poor management choices in 67, 75, 78, and 86 that had JH would have been the Owner they wouldn’t have happened?
  18. The ALE has never been as tough as it is now? I remember one year years ago that the 5th place team in the ALE had a better record than some other division winner back when the Brewers were in the ALE, and had good teams, and like it was mentioned all the other teams in the division had a winning record, so if the Red Sox want to compete they will just have to suck it up, and get better. If not they will stay at the kiddie table.
  19. Every time you keep saying how many holes there are to fill the number gets bigger. Isn’t that what Bloom gets paid the big bucks for to fix things?
  20. And all this time I thought injuries, and underperforming of players got us to where we are right now. That to me is a lot bigger reason than blaming DD for trading away prospects, and the exaggeration of wiping out the farm.
  21. I know where we are a losing last place in the division team. A division that we have been in for many years now.I have been a Red Sox fan longer than you. I have also said that JH has been a good owner, but where we differ is that to me the Red Sox didn’t win any rings for many many years had more to do with circumstances on the field than if JH was the owner, or not in all those years. I go one year at a time, and judge them for what they are good, or bad, and that works for me. To say we’re in 10th place in the league is not good no matter how you slice it, and dice it.
  22. Good! I call Bloom, and tell him he’s on notice, and his job is on the line.
  23. Nor does how many rings the Red Sox have won under JH make it alright for all the last place finishes.
  24. Poor, poor Bloom! What did he sign up for?
  25. Would a repeat of 2022 make it bad enough?
