  1. Projections of the season is more of a crapshoot then making the playoffs, and winning it. No one predicted that 2020 would be a bad as it was, and no one predicted that last year was going to be a losing last place team. News Flash! Vaz was not a backup C with the Red Sox last year. Where did I say the Red Sox would not win more games this year? I didn’t, and as a matter of FACT I said they could win more games this year, but still had lots of ???
  2. Catchers are nothing, but backups. 1B has lots of promise, but unproven. Can Story handle SS? Turner is closing in on turning 40, so what can you really expect from him? Huge boost from Yoshida? BIG ? Bello another lots of promise, but also unproven. This team could win more games, but still loaded with ???
  3. No, and he’ll no on Bauer.
  4. Not even if he was free.
  5. I agree with this 100%.
  6. Maybe, but he was still pitching.
  7. Misread the room first is how I like to put it, and then botched, and butchered things.
  8. Whitlock started the season in the pen as the long man, and tried to get a four inning save on opening day, so if he started, or not he was not opening the season as a closer, and the only reason Whitlock got put into the rotation at the time was because Houck wasn’t vaxed. Neither one was going to start the season near the backend of the BP.
  9. The reason Barnes was left off the PS roster was not, because he was injured.
  10. Yes we’ve heard that from you before, but I should have said a good actual closer. Barnes Had been so good he had been left off the PS roster, and then of course Robles. Not what they should have started any season with.
  11. I agree fixing the BP is May is not a easy thing, but my problem all along was not having an actual closer to start the season. That to me was unacceptable.
  12. If Bloom didn’t think he needed someone to platoon with JBJ that’s almost as bad as trading for him in the first place. Wrong on all accounts.
  13. Correct, and I did it in real time too just like the backend of the BP. Bloom has a hard time doing something in real time when something is actually needed.
  14. Linked by who? Suzuki never even met with the Red Sox that I heard of.
  15. I meant RHH OF, so no Story doesn’t count, and Ref Man was like a lot of the pitchers that came up only out of necessity.
  16. I agree, and especially after JH dared to show his face in public, and got booed.
  17. They had to wait until ST to tell them that?I guess that 160 didn’t tell them anything the year before.
  18. Bloom screwed up by trading Renfroe for JBJ to begin with, and then even though Bloom said they needed another RHH of he did nothing until August when he got Ham whom he could have had before the season started. Shaw, Bobby D, and Franchy all failures at 1B, and nothing was done until August when Hosmer pretty much fell into Blooms lap, and was pretty much given to the Red Sox. I’ve said enough about Duran, Duran The Butterfly Man, which was a big failure also.
  19. And after all that Bloom who’s supposed to be a smart ivy leaguer still stayed above the lux tax.
  20. In numbers maybe a couple of games, but a circus, and an embarrassment in the process. I guess it didn’t bother you, and that’s fine too, but a good GM should have done better, or at least tried.
  21. Is that the real point, or is it Bloom didn’t act, or knew what to do in real time?
  22. A PR, or a real baseball decision, or a combination of both?
  23. A two month failure wasn’t long enough for you? Hurt the team in the process too.
  24. Especially RF at Fenway.
  25. It was Cora, because he didn’t have many other options, because of the failed Renfroe for JBJ trade. JD could have been an option, but I think the Red Sox brain trust didn’t want to chance him tripping over 2B again, and getting hurt. Also , because Bloom didn’t seem fit to go, and get a regular OF until August. I don’t think it had much of anything to do with getting a so called good player more involved. Renfroe alleviated all the needs, and problems.
