  1. At present time Dugy either. Kike is what he is a career 230+ hitter who went on a hot streak in the 2021 PS, and some thinks he a super hero. More like a Cora pet.
  2. For now the 5 man rotation is set. How long it stays that way between being consistent, and staying healthy remains to be seen.
  3. Kluber is heading to the pen.
  4. Bloom goes for a cheap option when it comes to the rotation. That’s his standing operating procedure.
  5. As Lee Corso would say not so fast when it comes to passing Baltimore. The Judge, and the Yankees offense isn’t so bad either.
  6. I’m sure the Red Sox will pick up the club option for $11M next year. What a bargain!
  7. Wow! I asked the question a few weeks ago if the Red Sox bats could keep up the pace to make up for the starting pitching, and the short answer is a Big no. Dugy has hit 1 HR in May, which was May 1st, and has 2 RBI in May. I guess those Mookie who comments were a little premature. Duran is on a 1-19 skid, and heading back to his old self with the bat. I said the other day that Duran hasn’t been guaranteed to keep the FT CF job when someone said when Duvall came back he may be a platoon player. He may, but then again not so fast on that notion. Casas is still kind of floundering around looking for walks first instead of hits, and Kike hasn’t been much with the bat either. Raffy while his power productions looks good, but even he has had more nights than not that he hasn’t done much either. The offense isn’t this bad, but I don’t think it is as good as it had been early in the season.Where things go from here time will tell, but the Yankees are pulling further ahead of them.
  8. Even if all healthy I don’t see them all playing good enough to be guaranteed a FT position. It’s just like all the starting rotation being healthy, and all pitching well enough to stay in the rotation. Not likely to happen.
  9. Maybe in the offseason, or not at all.
  10. Who knows what will happen, but I’m not counting on Duran to keep hitting in the mid to high 300’s, and I’m not counting on Duvall to pick up where he left off with the bat. If they happen great, but I’m just not counting on it.
  11. Casas would have to swing the damm bat first. He stands there to often watching called third strikes go by, and looking for a walk instead of trying to get a hit.
  12. I’m not so sure when Duvall comes back he’ll just basically be a platoon with Casas. I don’t think Duran has fully locked down CF yet, and there is still plenty of time until Duvall comes back that things may look different than they do today. Like they always say that things usually work themselves out.
  13. I said at the time of the Kluber signing, and have been saying ever since that the Red Sox took the cheaper way out over Evol, and Wacha.
  14. Cora has already confirmed that Kluber will make his next scheduled start next Sunday.
  15. Who knows how Casas will turn out. He could turn out to be a Bobby D like, or he could turn out to be a Rizzo type. I’ve been saying for some time now that he needs to swing the bat more, and look for a hit 1st, and not a walk. It’s good to have a good eye at the plate, but his eye isn’t as good as he thinks it is. He definitely shouldn’t be batting third, and maybe needs more time In Worcester.
  16. I think I’d hold off a bit on offering him one of those Atlanta Braves long term contracts.
  17. Agree with this, and as long as the starting rotation stays relatively healthy they should be able to keep it up, and get into the postseason.
  18. The Red Sox have now officially released the Bra Man. Who’s next?
  19. I was surprised to see Sale came out, and pitched the 7th last night, but another 100+ pitches, so I think we can say this Sale is pretty much back. I see Jansen got the save, but 2 BB, so Jansen seems to be a little concerning going forward.
  20. Bobby D hits a 515 ft bomb last night?
  21. It was the right call to let Wink go the 3 innings last night. Jansen hasn’t pitched in a week now, so it’s time to put him back up in the saddle, and give him some work.
  22. Like I’ve said many times that Bloom was just one of the geeks in the nerd room, and not the man out in front like he is now.
  23. Agree. Having a designated piggy backer to me is a big waste. If it happens that way fine, but to me take each day as it comes, and if it lines up fine, but if it doesn’t that’s fine too. With Pivetta in the pen, and someone else when Whit comes back they’ve got plenty of long men without designating someone.
  24. The Sea Dogs manager said yesterday they are trying to get him to take more pitches to see which ones he can handle the best.
