  1. Chang is expected back Monday.
  2. Miguel Bleis to have shoulder surgery, and will miss the rest of the season.
  3. I don’t care about what Duvall did in 2021with the glove, or the bat. If he beat out Mookie for the gold glove then great. This is 2023 now, and he’s 34, and not fleet afoot trying to play CF, which is not his best position, but that’s what Bloom does. Like last year the Red Sox needed a CF/RF, so what does Bloom do go out, and get Pham a LF, so a heavier Dugy had to shift over to RF. You keep trying to build Duvall up as a CF for Bloom, but it’s not working with me. Maybe try someone else you’ll might have better luck.
  4. That was for RF, and not RF in Fenway either, and like I said he’s two years older, and slower now. He’s played less games in CF than he has the other two OF positions.
  5. The play that Duvall got hurt on if a CF with a little speed, and decent range like Kike, or JBJ probably would have caught the ball standing up. No one said Duvall is not a good OF, but he’s not fast enough to play a good CF. Going with his OPS in just a few hot games to start the season? Wow! Talk about a small sample size, but it is what it is. For now.
  6. Nice, but I’m talking about now, and I don’t see that going on in the 2023 season. Did Duvall win a gold glove for playing in CF? No. That was for RF, and now he’s 2 yrs older, and slower trying to play CF.
  7. Agree on the Kut Man, and Houck.
  8. All these 1 year contracts add up $27M for Kike, Duvall, and Clubber. How about getting someone who can play D, and actually hit?
  9. Like I said. I’m still waiting for a trade for a young starting pitcher.
  10. And I feel the Red Sox could have done better with the $10M, and not resigned him in the first place. He’s not a good enough hitter to be playing every day at any position. A late inning defensive replacement in the OF maybe, but for $10M.
  11. Max pines for the days when Barns, Streakman, Robles, and Bra Man was manning the pen.
  12. Kike is heating up? You wish. If 7-36 in his last ten games is heating up then that shows you how bad he was before. It would an improvement if he could get up to his career 239 Ave, but so far he can’t. That hot streak in the 2021 PS is a long ways away that he’s been living off with some on here.
  13. Is doing things the way they are doing them now working out? I’m still waiting for a trade for a young starting pitcher that Moon has talked about for two years now to happen.
  14. Someone mentioned Sale, but then someone mentioned a bunch of other names. During all the giddy talk when the winning streak was going on like Mookie who, and I don’t hear anyone saying they would rather have DD now I have Always said I would rather have DD anytime over Bloom, who I said it was a bad hire from day 1, and continue to say it until he is gone.
  15. I haven’t forgotten anything, and if that change in direction means a losing last place in the Div team then JH has to go too.
  16. We have already gone through that 1000 times over, and I have blasted DD 1000 times over, and did at the time it happened.
  17. The Red Sox could have picked the wrong nerd away from Tampa. Tampa certainly hasn’t missed Bloom.
  18. Bottom line the Red Sox are a better team with Jansen then they would be without him, and would had been a better team last year too especially the 1st part of the season.
  19. Ah yes the previous front office who had 4 winning seasons in a row not to mention the best record in Red Sox history with a WS Title to boot. What amazes me is when posters on here try to make it look like Bloom knows what he is doing, and is good at his job it usually doesn’t, and shows he isn’t good at his job. The best way to look at things is simple. The previous front office was all WINNERS, and the current front office has been mostly losers.
  20. I wouldn’t have resigned Evol, or JD either, but it’s just that Turner who replaced JD as it turns out is not having as good of a season as JD is at the moment, and Wacha, and Evol we’re both named pitcher of the month, where as Kluber, and his 7+ ERA suck. Nobody is saying they should have been resigned, but only that get something as good to replace them.
  21. Easily replaced yes, but at what cost for the same amount of time, and how good will they be? A $10M Cory Kluber is one of those. A $10M Garrett Richards was one of those. They all add up too.
  22. You mean like being a losing last place in the Div team for two years now?
  23. The here and now is all that matters at the moment, and at the moment the Red Sox are a losing, last place in the Div team, and could surely use a Evol, and Wacha in the rotation, and not to mention JD’s bat.
  24. Stress reaction in L scapula.
  25. The Red Sox have spent about half of that on Richards, Kluber, and Hill, and will have to spend even more in the next few years.
