  1. On Aug 1 the Red Sox were 8 games over 500, and now 1 game under, and still dropping. 6-14 in their last 20. The Yankees on the other hand are 14-6. One team has qiut, and one team has not, and it’s not a good look for the Sox.
  2. Casas scratched again today. May need MRI on shoulder.
  3. I knew I would get caught sooner, or later.🙈
  4. Bloom should have been a poster then he would have know that pitching was the biggest need.
  5. How much are you going to pay Soto after you trade for him? Chapman?
  6. The O’s were real bad for a very long time though.
  7. Not when it got to the point with Mookie, but Bogey might have been different at the time if they would have offered him more money when he signed that 6 year contract with no opt out. I don’t like opt out contracts, and it just holds teams hostage like it did when JD was here.
  8. Depending on how many of the Casas, Raf Man, Abreu, Bello, Mayer, Anthony, and Teel to name some work out, or are traded for someone who does is now what the Red Sox have to work with, but it would be a lot better if these players were added to Mookie, Raffy, and Bogey instead of adding to just Raffy. I blame DD for not doing a better job of not locking up Mookie, and Bogey sooner.
  9. They could have won it all in 2021, and it still wouldn’t justify 2022, and 2023. It’s like saying Bloom had an overall winning record in his 4 years on the job, but 3 of them will most likely be losing last place in the div finishes. Good day, good night, and good bye.
  10. You could, but it wouldn’t be very enjoyable just like the Red Sox finishing out of the postseason once again.
  11. But yet he couldn’t field a WINNING team, and get into the postseason, which is what I’ve been saying, Cora said, and Sam said, and which was, and is most important.
  12. Boy what most Red Sox fans would give now for a 84 win team. What they won’t give is Bloom anymore chances. 93, 93, 108, 84. Those were the good old days. Last 4 years for the most part was gloom, and doom.
  13. Nobody knows what Bloom was told when he was hired, but lowering the payroll, and improving the farm rankings he did. Not rebuild the farm, but improve the rankings. Problem was #1 priority of the here, and now was staying a winning competitive postseason team, which he failed to do. What was done, and done was three of his 4 years was out of the postseason, and looking like last place in the Div finishes, so done, and done he gone.
  14. 3 K’s last night. It wouldn’t bother me at all if they could find a taker for him. I would rather have JT’s bat around for a couple more years then him.
  15. I’d be a lot more encouraged with the old JH than with the one now.
  16. How many marathons did Bush run out to the mound all season? Like it did any good.
  17. I don’t see it being the Big O, or the splashy Yam, so we’ll see.
  18. I not always a big fan of Cora, but I don’t believe any manager could have gotten anymore out of this cluster f—- of a roster.
  19. I don’t believe Bloom made the last call on Cora, and Sam said he expects Cora to be the manager next year, so unless they just stay in house with Romero it doesn’t sound like a new GM type will get to pick.
  20. I’m not so sure that big splash will be made, but who knows. If the pitching, and D doesn’t improve the team won’t improve. I’d hate to think they will trot out something resembling the lineup they are using right now minus JT.
  21. Bloom could still most likely have a job had he gotten the Red Sox in the postseason the last two years especially this one.
  22. The amazing part is he actually stayed healthy this year.
  23. They are pickers, grinners, and spinners. Picking your pocket on ticket prices, and grinning about it, and spinning how the goal is to play for championships, and retaining players like Bogey is a high priority with a slap in the face lowball offer.
  24. Now that Bloom is gone are the Red Sox still underdogs, or heading for just under 500 again.
  25. There are many different rankings for the minor leagues. You cited one that ranked them 5th, but pipeline ranks them 16th, and another I saw had them ranked 14th, so pick, and choose however you like. Like I’ve said many times just because the farm system is better ranked doesn’t mean the big league club will be better than what they had with Mookie, Raffy, and Bogey just to name 3. Also how many of the top ranked prospects are pitchers?
