  1. Game 1 you were only down 1 run. Why wait for game 2 when your good pitchers might not even be needed. Of course the season isn’t winding down, or anything, and there is still plenty of games left. All hands on deck? That must have been why Raffy was rested in game 2. Masa by all means, but not Raffy.
  2. Remember when Cora didn’t want to start Sale on opening day to take the stress of him, and let him relax, and enjoy his birthday? Glad that worked out so well.
  3. I don’t think Bloom is that decisive to wreck any havoc.
  4. Pass TOR, and TEX? The only thing the Red Sox have to worry about now is staying ahead of the Yankees. 7&8 games behind Sea, Tex, and Toronto with only 15 games to go. They are on a 4-11 run in their last 15, and that is why they are closer to last place than any WC spot.
  5. Fallen behind by a big 1 run, but as inept as the Sox bats were yesterday I guess Cora thought the game was out of reach, so I guess it was the right move. Like I said yesterday I don’t care if the Red Sox were playing 10 games yesterday you don’t have the luxury of time anymore to be saving for anything.
  6. Has Duvall been using Story Land’s bat? 14 K’s in his last 17 AB. From hot to the ice bucket.
  7. He did, but was he the best option? LL is one of Cora’s faves just like the Bern Man.
  8. I agree that Cora’s pitching management didn’t cost the Sox the two games yesterday, but to me bringing LL in when he did was not the best choice he could have made.
  9. For the Red Sox? NO!
  10. This sounds about right.🙈
  11. Well said, and as I said earlier in this thread it should be an embarrassment from JH, and the rest of baseball ops right down to Cora, and the players.
  12. Big second game only in terms of staying ahead of the Yankees, or not. A win, and you stay 2 games ahead, but a loss, and you’re tied for 4th, or 5th , and back to 500 they go.
  13. Pivetta shows up every day, and is nothing more than a #5 starter.
  14. Pivetta pitched a great 5, and he took a chance to leave him in, which I have no problem with. The problem with me is who came first out of the BP.
  15. Was LL the best option in that situation? And now??
  16. Schreiber would have come in before LL.
  17. I don’t care if the Red Sox are playing 10 games today. If you have a chance to win a game you take it. You can’t be choosy at this point. Time is running out. LL is not your best option.
  18. Both organizations from TOP to bottom should be more than embarrassed to be in this situation.
  19. Agree, and that’s why I said with Theo they put the 2004 team together. I don’t think Dan would have broken bread with Schill at Thanksgiving.
  20. Seems I remember Duquette. Wasn’t he the guy who with Theo put the 2004 team together?
  21. Still crucial. One team is trying to get out of last place, and the other is trying to keep out of going into last place. How the mighty has fallen.
  22. I wouldn’t say walks a ton is a very good assessment. Maybe you were thinking about Schwarber.
  23. He likes playing ping pong.
  24. Yoshida did Not start off at leadoff, because Cora said he didn’t want to put that pressure on him, and batted him 4th I believe. Don’t have a choice to give him his shot next year unless you can find a trading partner.
