  1. I have said that I’m ok if the Red Sox sign him, and that he will make the rotation better, but I guess that’s just not good enough.
  2. Very well said. Some just want to see it their way, and any other way has to be wrong. I have said that I don’t see W-L record as everything, and I look at other stats as well, and just, because one pitcher has a better record than another doesn’t mean he’s a better pitcher. I have said I understand their way of looking at statistics, and coming to a different conclusion than me, but that we just disagree. On the other side of the equation it’s their way is the only way that’s right. One disagreed with Sean McAdams, because McAdams didn’t agree with him that Monty was a solid #2 starter, so of course his conclusions was McAdams didn’t know what he’s talking about. Another didn’t like a FA ranking, because it didn’t meet his standards, so of course it had to be the ranking had to be ridiculous. Everyone can have their own opinion, and if someone has another opinion it doesn’t mean they’re wrong. So when some think they have everything figured out, and has the right answers it may be that way for them, but not for everyone, and that seems to be a hard pill to swallow.
  3. He’s signed for 2 more years at $11M, and $16.5M, and he’s still only 25, so give Brez a call.
  4. Bo would play 3B for the Cubs, so where would he play for the Red Sox. He’s not that good of a SS is he?
  5. That wasn’t my intention, but I guess it came across that way. We had a few back, and forth on the subject, so I was just continuing that. I’ve had my lecture from Bell, so I get that too, and I definitely hold Bell in a higher esteem than some of the others, so no harm, or malice intended. Thanks for pointing it out though. .
  6. You should be LYAO. You were the BUTT of all the jokes.
  7. Off to PF I go to show them more of the comedy show. The audience grows every day.
  8. You are romper room at its best, or at its worse as some would say.
  9. But you guys are the ones that keep it going. You are all trying to make yourselves look better, and trying to confirm you are right the more that gets posted. It doesn’t solve anything, prove anything, or make any kind of difference as insignificant as it is even when you try to make it bigger, and better.
  10. Oh I get that 100%. Share, and share alike, and think, and think alike. The cool part though doesn’t seem to be acknowledging there is different opinions, and if those opinions don’t jive with yours then obviously those don’t know what they are talking about, or are ridiculous like I heard yesterday. I know it’s hard to imagine, but did you ever think maybe it’s you, and by that I mean anyone else might not know what they are talking about, or are ridiculous, or absurd? Just an observation, and a thought.
  11. Still going on about this two days later! Wow! You answered the question yourself. Nothing will. You still don’t get it that is more than 1 answer to this subject, and your answer is different than mine. I know you think that those who don’t agree with you they don’t know what they are talking about, and I can certainly live with that, but it sounds like you can’t, and you aren’t. Something so insignificant if Monty is a #2, or #3, or if W-L records matter, and how much.Keep up the good work.🤓
  12. Thanks for the kind words, but being absurd is not what the gang at PF calls you. Plenty of other words, but I guess that goes along with being as infamous that you have become.
  13. Well said, but some on here want Monty to be looked at as so good so bad, because he is available, and the Red Sox are in desperate need, so it’s a match made in heaven for some, so get out the Pom Poms, and hip, hip Horay.
  14. You still haven’t answered why Raffy doesn’t get a W-L next to his name after every game.
  15. This is hilarious that my opinion, and stance on Monty has bothered some so much. Either way it’s not going to change anything one way, or the other. When I show the gang at PF all these back, and forth tomorrow it will be another WTF, and what’s wrong with all you guys meaning me too, and another round at the kiddie table. Usually there is just one of you as the celebrity guess speaker, but there is more guest appearances in this version of romper room.
  16. No you are conflating my stance on W-L. I have said more than once today that lots of things go into a W-L of a pitcher.
  17. Level of competition would have to be factored in also.
  18. Call my opinion is absurd all you want, but that’s why your guy Bloom is gone, because of the W-L record, which mattered most in the here, and now, and not 2025.
  19. What does the eye test say? Very important.
  20. Why does some rankings rate Monty lower than others, and said he’s not a frontline pitcher? In your opinion they must be all wrong too. What kind of stats do you think they rely on?
  21. I like ERA, but I like hits per inning along with BB, and K’s per innings as well.
  22. Like I asked does Raffy get a W-L next to his name after every game? Why is that?
  23. Another thing I keep saying. You’re not convincing me, but just convincing yourself. I do understand that W-L record doesn’t tell the whole story on how good a pitcher is, but I just put more value in it than you, and your cohorts do?
  24. What have I told you for the last two years? Wins, and losses is what matters most. Does Raffy get a W-L next to his name after every game? No! A pitcher does. It’s not really that complicated, and hasn’t changed through the years. At least not yet.
