    There were lots of other questionable calls too like on the last possession when after getting a first down run stuffed they tried a screen pass on 2nd down, which almost got picked off, but it stopped the clock as well. Then when they finally punted deep in their own territory they let the play clock run out, and took a penalty, which pushed them back 5 yards deeper when they could have just punted with a second left. They had trouble getting plays off too with the play clock winding down to often. Agree on Freeman’s excuse too. All in all he looked more like a rookie high school coach than a college coach. Not a good look at all for ND. They let a big one get away.

    Dumb prevent defense, or as I like to call it The Invitation To Defeat Defense just doesn’t work so many times in football, but yet it’s used so many times.Only 10 men on the field the last two plays? WTF!So many plays during the game that if ND makes just one of them they win. This one is gong to sting for a long time.

    ND coughed, coughed, coughed it up at the end. Rushing 3 at the end of the game with the ball on their 22 was playing the ITDD.Invitation TO Defeat Defense, and they did.

    Max those 37,000 tickets sold were sold months ago. Do think think they all showed up last night beating down the ticket office door to watch this non postseason team play?

    Playing meaningless games in garbage time is what the Red Sox have been regulated to do by Bloom, and some actually get giddy on here after a few wins, and think the Red Sox are actually better than they really are. I’m not one of those.

    Ah, your, and Moon’s company line. Very nice that you wave Pom Poms, but where did that short time euphoria get you the last two years. Last place, and out of the postseason, so keep on waving those Pom Poms when you get giddy, and then just sit back, and watch as things go back to s*****.

    O’Halloran accepts Exec VP of baseball ops today. Kennedy already has said they expect Cora to be back as Red Sox manger. Sounds like an inside job coming to new GM, or whatever title they give him. If not it’s nice that the Red Sox have already filled some positions for him.

    I believe that would be 700, or many others. I just wouldn’t have hired him, or anyone else back under the same situation.

    What happened to supposedly the Red Sox playing an easier schedule this year, because they wouldn’t have to play against the Div teams as much? I guess it wasn’t easier enough.

    To listen to some on here they must have named a movie Against All Odds, and a song The Impossible Dream after Blooms tenure with the Red Sox.

    If I had a $ for every time I heard budget slashed, 5 year plan, rebuild, all in, building up the farm, and foundation ect on here I’d be rich, but if I had a $ for every time I heard it elsewhere Id go broke.

    I give JH an F for hiring Bloom in the first place, and another F for not even interviewing anyone else.

    I don’t know about that, because I’m not so sure that would be your best OF at the moment. All 3 vets have been struggling somewhat.

    Bobby D started out as a 3B, so it didn’t help his D moving to 1B. It doesn’t work with everyone.

    I would move Yoshida if I could. I would also bring JT back.

    Toronto lost their SS for a while, so they went out, and got another one. It didn’t work out, but they tried. They lost their closer, so they went out, and got another one, who is now the setup man with the closer back.
