  1. I agree with most, but I’m not so sure that JT doesn’t come back, and then Masa goes back to LF. I’m also thinking that Valdez could be in the mix at 2B, and if that’s the case if Raffy, and Casas doesn’t improve the D only gets better at SS, and CF, which is still an improvement. RF could be another question too. Dugy did a good job out there this year, and I’m not sold on Abreu on D. I’m not counting on Duran FT either.
  2. I already said I’m terrible at predicting, or seeing the future. Unless it’s predictions like Bloom being bad in Boston of course.
  3. Imagine if they don’t make the postseason. What have you done for me lately?
  4. No, and no!
  5. Martin was the most consistent that’s for sure.
  6. That would be an easy one to me not Raffy, but JT. JT had a lot of big, and timely hits, and I can’t recall Raffy having to many. I do recall lots of Raffy’s errors though.
  7. No, I liked the signing when it happened, as long if it didn’t prevent the Sox from resigning Bogey.
  8. I never vote in any of these predictions polls, and I wasn’t on here before the 2021 season started, but like I have said there was plenty of talent on the 2021 club to start the season to think the team would end up more like the 2021 team did than the 2020 team. 2018 did not carry into the 2019 team, and the 2019 team did not carry into the 2020, and fortunately the 2020 team did not carry into the 2021 team, and on, and on it goes.
  9. As the Red Sox have found out the last two years you have to plan pretty much on having at the very least a 8 man rotation especially if Sale is in it.
  10. And after all of that Story did not really want to come to Boston in the first place. Unless things change next year with Story Land being closed a lot more than being open then Bloom has left the Red Sox with that contract as a parting gift like DD did with Sale.
  11. Who was talking anything about making it Trevor’s fault. Who? Now that is silly. As usual you are a day late, and a dollar short. This was all discussed right after Story signed with the Red Sox.
  12. May sound silly to you, but the word was Story turned down two offers on the advice of his agent with one being Texas, and a similar offer at that. When Texas, and Seattle the other turning to other players it was getting later, and into ST, and Boston’s offer came around, and Story grabbed it, and then fired his agent shortly after. He ended up signing late, so like I said a mutual need for both sides.
  13. Why was the original offer to Bogey a lowball offer? That’s been gone over TMTC times already. I know you thought Bogey’s side should have back with a counter.
  14. I think it was a mutual need for both sides. Story was running out of options, and the contract was too good to pass up. One report said he didn’t really want to come to Boston. He fired his agent shortly after he did he was so grateful.
  15. Yes that’s my view not on life, but discussing the Red Sox. Like I keep telling you the here, and now is what’s most important, and if the here in now means a losing last place in the Div team, and out of the postseason then heads should roll. To give O’Hall the Exec VP of baseball ops, and bring back Cora just sounds like an inside job to me, and if not it’s pretty bad the new person in charge doesn’t get to pick who they want like Bloom didn’t either with Cora.
  16. Like I keep saying they are cheap options for the rotation.
  17. Not to me, which I have said for two years now. There was plenty of talent on that 2020 team from the 2018 team, and ERod, and Sale were coming back, so common sense should have said not to look to much into 2020.
  18. It’s the old what have you done for me lately, and there are no untouchables. JH, and Cora, or anyone else.
  19. I agree with you that Story was signed to calm the fans.
  20. The O’s were not only bad, but real bad for a number of years, so i wouldn’t really compare them to the Ray’s situation. I’m all for not only building up the farm, but having a good crop for the future, but as always not at the expense of the big league club.
  21. Thanks for the lesson. The Sox have plenty of those guys, Pivetta, Wink, Kut Man, Houck, and Whit. Throw in Martin, and Jansen, and it sounds like a good BP to me.
  22. Common sense!
  23. True the Sox were coming off the ALCS run, but had made the JBJ trade, and also the lowball offers to Bogey, and Raffy, so things weren’t as rosy as they could have, or should have been.
  24. I know, but I just didn’t see them winning 84 games. Getting just to 81 I guess would have been a major accomplishment for the way this team had played most of the year, with the bad D, bad base running, inconsistent O, and whatever you want to call the pitching staff.
