  1. the pitching match up does seem to favor the sox
  2. I believe Yogi once said, "It gets late early out there"
  3. https://nypost.com/2022/05/11/aaron-judges-arbitration-showdown-with-yankees-is-last/
  4. Well you are certainly wrong when you say this team sucks, best record in baseball!!
  5. Don't look now but cincy has won 4 out of 5. I think they might be turning it around!
  6. but it’s continuing the alarming trend of 2021 where the Yanks only scored off long balls. but I’m not liking what I’m seeing out of Hicks. Twice he had easy RBI chances and twice he sucked. His at bats just don’t look good, continuing his putrid performance from the beginning of last year before he needed surgery. Hicks is absolutely awful. New year, same ********. Cannot f***ing hit This team is a bag of s*** offensively. Torres sucks. Hicks is a GB machine. The big guys take too many pitches. This is not a championship caliber offense No clutch hitting. Swinging for the downs every AB. It’s not baseball. It’s home run derby All you needed was 2 runs vs the lowly orioles but you couldn’t get that. Joke of a team This team sucks There’s a fundamental flaw to this offense. When conditions do not favor the longball, the offense goes silent. They can’t manufacture. They’re allergic to contact. Too many black holes in the lineup. This team can’t hit Our offense is hot garbage I like the scrappy part of our lineup. Not so much the meat and potatoes of the lineup The offense came together today. I still have my doubts about their long term sustainability vs good pitching. They K far too easily, which makes small ball or manufacturing almost impossible. See!!
  7. He's definitely an exciting player to watch. Some of the beach bars that I frequent have live music and whenever we have some tourons here from the boston area they always request sweet caroline. It's like nails down a chalkboard to the civilized ear IMO.
  8. Not very well. I thought it was a dumb idea at the time and still think so.
  9. Anything is better than sweet caroline
  10. No, you actually claimed this was a joke of a team that sucks.......
  11. I knew that Ian Anderson could play many different instruments but I didn't know he could pitch too!
  12. Yes it was his only career LH at bat. The article I read says he does it quite often in the batting cage. Anthony Rendon homers in first career left-handed at-bat WWW.MLB.COM ANAHEIM -- With 22-year-old rookie lefty Reid Detmers on the verge of history with a no-hit bid through eight innings, the Rays trotted out position player Brett Phillips to the mound for the eighth inning with the Angels already leading by eight runs. Phillips had the tough task of facing
  13. And I won't get into what you remind me of. Back to baseball.......
  14. Speaking of the angels. did you see that rendon homered from the left side last night? His 4,528 plate appearances batting righty before his lefty homer were the most career plate appearances from one side before a homer from the other side among non-switch-hitters.
  15. And rendon homered from the left side, pretty cool.
  16. 3 run shot by Torres to get the Yanks on the board!
  17. I tend to agree with your assessment. The twinkies have been a bit of a surprise to me. And it looks like the angels have a little pitching finally. As a baseball fan it would be sad to see ballplayers like trout (1 appearance that was dreadful) and ohtani spend their careers without making the playoffs a few times.
  18. I agree, for this year at least, that whitlock should be in the pen. I think he can impact more games a week that way vs being a starter.
  19. That's rich considering I wasn't the one that devolved the thread. Think much before you hit the enter key?
  20. Fair enough. Who do you expect to be the AL teams that do make the postseason?
  21. It may have to do with the fact that NY is the #1 media market while boston comes in at #10. https://www.axios.com/2021/04/26/media-markets-ranking-largest-us
  22. I could really care less. You attacked me, I did not attack you.
  23. But back to baseball. What do you "realistically" expect to happen in part 3 of the season?
  24. I'm sure that image excites you. SMH........
  25. Nope, I certainly don't wear a 27x's jacket. So you can shut the hell up.
