  1. No need to mention names, I think it's fairly obvious.
  2. Nope, the truth is having basically 2 seasons of being healthy does not equate to being an iron man.
  3. Exactly how has he prevented the sox from losing this series already? Last I checked they only played 1 game so far of a 3 game series.
  4. Exactly, he's a knee-jerk fanboy like many others.
  5. Not picky at all, just the truth.
  6. Maybe it's time to take it down a notch and eat a little crow......
  7. That's basically about 2 seasons worth of games. That doesn't exactly make one an iron man.....
  8. I agree with you on both accounts.
  9. The sox already have a danish, do they need a roll also?
  10. Misunderstanding on my part. I took it as meaning that games later in the season were somehow more important than the first 24. My bad.
  11. Tell that to the teams that finish 1 game out of a playoff spot....
  12. I never said they didn't. I did say each game counts just as much as any other game, aside from the head to head matchups.
  13. Well, geez, that's just basic math, even mad stork can figure that out.....
  14. Or they are just pointing out how you conveniently leave it out more often than not.
  15. No, these 24 count just as much as any other games in the season. Until a team is officially knocked out of a playoff spot, each game counts just as much as any other game (aside from games with obvious head 2 head implications)
  16. Well, considering that some teams finish 1 game out of the playoffs, games now are just as important as games in Sept. So it does matter what your record is.
  17. I grew up a few blocks away from his place on President St in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Rumor has it he had a lion in the basement. Great book about him called "The Mad Ones"
  18. Do you ever learn? These are some of your posts so far this season: but it’s continuing the alarming trend of 2021 where the Yanks only scored off long balls. but I’m not liking what I’m seeing out of Hicks. Twice he had easy RBI chances and twice he sucked. His at bats just don’t look good, continuing his putrid performance from the beginning of last year before he needed surgery. Hicks is absolutely awful. New year, same ********. Cannot f***ing hit This team is a bag of s*** offensively. Torres sucks. Hicks is a GB machine. The big guys take too many pitches. This is not a championship caliber offense No clutch hitting. Swinging for the downs every AB. It’s not baseball. It’s home run derby All you needed was 2 runs vs the lowly orioles but you couldn’t get that. Joke of a team This team sucks There’s a fundamental flaw to this offense. When conditions do not favor the longball, the offense goes silent. They can’t manufacture. They’re allergic to contact. Too many black holes in the lineup. This team can’t hit Our offense is hot garbage I like the scrappy part of our lineup. Not so much the meat and potatoes of the lineup The offense came together today. I still have my doubts about their long term sustainability vs good pitching. They K far too easily, which makes small ball or manufacturing almost impossible.
  19. People look at the standings every day and can see how many games the sox are out of the WC, so they also "know it already".
  20. Why is it "needlessly reminded" when you just as often point out that a WC spot is not that far off?
  21. More strain on an already over performing pen.
  22. Wee Willie Keeler, he's a ancestor of mine.
