I never said they didn't. I did say each game counts just as much as any other game, aside from the head to head matchups.

No, these 24 count just as much as any other games in the season. Until a team is officially knocked out of a playoff spot, each game counts just as much as any other game (aside from games with obvious head 2 head implications)

Well, considering that some teams finish 1 game out of the playoffs, games now are just as important as games in Sept. So it does matter what your record is.

People look at the standings every day and can see how many games the sox are out of the WC, so they also "know it already".

Why is it "needlessly reminded" when you just as often point out that a WC spot is not that far off?
