was just reading an article on the Cubs and their pending FA's. If you were Bloom, what would a package deal look like to get Rizzo into a Sox uniform? Would it be totally asinine to offer up the likes of Devers to acquire someone of his caliber?

This may be true and he may be a unbelievable hitter at times, however. Will his D continue to regress, will his weight become a problem that he battles every off season. He won’t ever get any faster. What will his next contract demand? Is his slugging and mediocre D enough to pay this guy 30 mil a year or more with the demands he will be looking for?

With the talent we have waiting in the wings at 1B and potentially 3B.... would it be completely idiotic to dangle Devers out to ATL for some of their young stud arms. In their top prospects they have one 3B who’s a few years away from making an impact. Should we strike while the iron is hot and move Dalbec over and give Casas a shot at 1B and really roll the dice and get major league talent back on the mound??

What would adding TB do for this team. Would he be a spark plug or a cancer! The talent level is off the charts at times. We need a dominate arm that can pitch deep into games. If not him who is the guy.... maybe it’s someone nobody is leaning towards.

Can someone please explain to me the infatuation with JBJ... a CF that plays great D but doesn’t steal bases and can’t seem to learn to hit the ball the other way! For the amount we’re paying him I would’ve rather kept Pillar!

Why in the hell would we get back another 3rd basemen.... we need arms! If this is the bloom method we’re doomed! We have too many roadblocks at certain positions to just take on more mediocre prospects!

How can the league allow these games to be postponed with the shortened season and lack of days to make up games! Furthermore, if you want to sit out and show your support so be it, most employees that refuse to work are shown the door and the next guy up! How long can this go on in sports?

well the injury bug could hit let’s say Bogey or Raffy. And then Evo could strain an oblique or start having some elbow tenderness and not be able to be shopped before the deadline and then we would become the Pirates. -

Dude... we are 100% on the same page! Scouting has seemed piss poor and I don’t have much faith in any draft pics as of late.... cut bait and move the hell on. We need life in this team or that cliff will become a lot steeper to the bottom!! -

Exactly what we did, however, we needed to also get an arm in that trade with knowing the question marks within our rotation!

I love how everyone is expecting Sale to be reincarnated after TJ.... we all know that delivery has and always will put a lot of stress on that elbow! So..... what if he is not “Sale” in 2021, what if ERod doesn’t return to form or has more complications with the heart? The staff is right back to the clown rotation we have now! Bloom has to move on from some of the “ talent” we have now regardless of how many Sox fans feelings get hurt! This team needs future arms that can be depended on! Ghost has it right here... Devers is the kicker. Move him to 1B or some DH. Bring up BD and see if he’s the future at 3B! Plan for what’s next

With all do respect.... what would you have been able to put around him at that point! In 2021 there will be no guarantee Sale comes back healthy( that pitching motion killed his elbow) and what would we had to have given Devers by then! The farm would still be garage and we might still be looking up at the O’s! This team needs a makeover and that very well may hurt some lifelong fans feelings to see the writing on the wall come to fruition! Again with all do respect

I’ve said it before and been roasted.... Devers is not the future of Boston! Send him off for some arms! The kids D is suspect at best and the weight and slow hips won’t get better with age! Hell at the rate he’s going this season he will have 25 errors!

This is proof that whomever has been selecting pitchers for this organization needs to be fired.... this kid only throws home run derby pitches!

What really needs to be assessed is the hitting coach.... at this rate we are going to be last in hitting

Guys we know nothing major is going to happen with this team! We will have all the same core and the upper management will hope ERod and Sale come back as gangbusters and that Evo will hold out of the strained oblique that’s coming and the Devers pulled hammy that’s inevitable! 2021 will be another mediocre year and then it will be a full blown cliff dive! This team has to get major league talent top to bottom and we need arms that are actual MLB pitchers!

See if the kid can hang with the big boys.... if not package him in a deal and move on to 2021
