  1. Duran getting in a bad habit of K'ing by swinging at somewhat obvious Ball Fours. He needs to get on base to use his skills.
  2. Campbell gets a learning lesson on positioning for a throw at 2B. Narvaez had springer burned but Ktristian was too far in front of bag to tag George quickly. Let the ball come to you
  3. Why jinx them ? The weather may be a big equalizer over talent. Crochet needs to bust that FB in on the hands to get bees in the Jay's batting gloves. Be a win to get a win in bad conditions .
  4. Wong who was having significant trouble buying a hit in his very limited ABs so far will get a chance at a clean restart come mid to late May. Maybe that will be a win from this not so good situation. It may also allow Connor, when back to remain fresher deeper into the season . It may also prompt Breslow to reconsider the catcher position by trade deadline. It is Narvaez's job to perform and solidify . Let's wish him well in doing so
  5. Criswell just made a deposit on a one-way to Worcester . Showing nothing and using lots of pitches to do so
  6. Cardinals better check the waiver wire for some pitching . They have been beat badly by our bats in this series.
  7. Certainly did what he was called up for . Certainly should have the win in the books if the BP can hold a 9 run lead.
  8. Dobbins getting the gift of a lifetime: His first MLB win . All he has to do is plow through a few more innings, say the 7th and make outs happen
  9. Somewhere in all that talent, there must be an opportunity to trade for a #1 catcher. Wong is not improving over his baseline, not hitting . Narvaez has been surprisingly good in his turns , but this team could go far with a good catcher who can hit.
  10. Don't lose sight of Abreu's arm and Gold Glove . Now if he can pick up LH pitching better, he will be the All-Star. Meanwhile, he's having a nice day at Fenway
  11. Duran maybe trying to do too much . Swinging at high balls out of zone. He is slumping sharply
  12. Yeah, let's trade Abreu now, while he's hot and throw in Chapman too since he tends to wildness
  13. A potential win still, but many missed opportunities by key guys, including Whitlock , Duran and Bregman.
  14. I would say Abreu. Duran matured a bit late and is still controllable. Not exactly tearing up the leadoff spot this year. Can't steal second or third until you get on base
  15. Agreed. The NESN broadcast is all about the charitable works of the RS Foundation. Good for them. Werner and Henry alone could fund it for years. Made me turn the sound off and watch the actual game.
  16. You may well be correct, but I think Fitts may be the better pitcher . The object remains to win the game you are playing , not to alter a future that doesn't exist yet. I don't see skipping Fitts a turn to be productive.
  17. Campbell pitching on the proverbial thin ice. Cora will have the bullpen on the edge of their bench if Sean allows a baserunner in the 3rd.
  18. True enough. In fact, bellweather R. Devers has 3X as many hits. In any case, Conor Wong is sliding backwards down Occam's Razor
