    I bet if a hitter got known for swinging regularly at 3-0 pitches, he would wind up walking far more often than taking 3-0.

    I would love to have one of our Stat Mastersons to opine on the efficacy of swinging at 3-0 pitches. They are still bein g taken in huge quantities and are often middle-middle midspeed straight balls. Why ?? Are you looking for a walk in lieu of a Johnson or Porcello. My advice, cue on a zone you like, if you see the ball coming there, swing hard and try to give it a ride. Don't stand there like you know some secret sauce for hitting.

    Meanwhile the f***wits carrying bats today are once again distinguishing themselves vs J. Happ. Cannot imagine a more inconsistent team on the mound, at bat or in the field. Great one day and suck the next. Longest streak of the season is 6 wins. No wonder the WC faded away quickly in late August and early sept.

    In retrospect, there is no excuse for AC playing JDM in RF with the sun . If you want to sit JBJr because of Happ, JD covers left, leave Mookie in RF and Beni to CF, . AC makes me more weary each day following his dumbass moves

    Clearly DD did not know or the deal would not have been done. I don't blame him for the trade to try and build a bullpen in 2017 as part of a championship run. Dave regrettably continued his bad BP luck by counting on Thornburg and worse, Carson Smith , a true idiot.

    It would be hard to rationalize the economics of Moreland going forward. He has missed considerable time for two years and been streaky at others. For his $6M , you can have Chavis, Travis, and 2 relievers . The LH bat matter gets partially addressed by keeping Holt and finding out if Marco Hernandez is part of the future or not. Despite not being my favorite player, you know that upside potential and low cost will keep LH hitting Benintendi on the Sox. Not sure you need to build the roster perfectly balanced LH/RH . Beni, Devers and Holt give you a start, with Hernandez off the bench maybe. Then there is Mr. Leon to help Sale carry his arm around, both of them bat Left, with equal results. You know Bradley will get shopped hard trying to avoid his $9M potential arb, and get anything of value back, including a backup to Vazquez.
