  1. So you are saying we can't catch the O's ??
  2. As opposed to arm injuries which can also happen, unless it's an oblique or shoulder situation
  3. Another of my baggage carries, Two Way Lin has no clue with a bat in his hand. Some of these never willbes need to go this winter.
  4. Nice, I kinda see what you did there !
  5. Finally made Montgomery pay for some poor pitching. Arroyo gets the big bang.
  6. If Chavis would re-spell his name Chivas , he might be worth something. As it is now, he's not producing
  7. The majority of those leg injuries have occurred from the waist down , often to the parts of the legs themselves. For example, toes, ankles, knees, thighs, hips, hammies, etc. You could look it up.
  8. Xander becoming a chaser of bad pitches and misser of good pitches. Now here's JDM, a confirmed chaser
  9. Yankees begging us to do something radical and score a run
  10. A #5 starter on a contending staff, has been getting it done with the bag of tricks he has. Not a guy to build around, but Chaim should try to bring him back next Spring.
  11. Doesn't count for much, but Montgomery threw a lot of pitches. What the heck is really wrong with JDM this year ?
  12. Nice D by NYY, need to get a hit now off the wall
  13. Carlos Torres, another of the really bad B/S umpires
  14. I think you do need to take a long look at the player development staff and abilities, especially in the area of pitchers over the last decade. If the talent is not there, coaching won't help it much, but Fredo has to answer for the failure to get anyone as a regular starting pitcher since Buchholz . I can't say that the flameouts on the hitting side are as noticeable since we have graduated some pretty decent position players going back to Pedroia's introduction. If Pedey was not injured, then at one point in 2019 the entire infield ( Pedey, Bogey, Chavis, Devers) and outfield (Betts, JBJr, Benintendi) plus Vazquez were all products of the farm system.
  15. I think DGale is correct. I Those who should be in the know knew what they needed to know to let Mookie go and get some level of value in return. Although the short season Covid trainwreck could not have been predicted, it turned out that Mookie would not have turned the lack of pitching talent around.
  16. Grullon has got to be saying , "WTF ?" Who are these guys
  17. This bunch needs to go .500 to get to 20 wins. Way to go boys
  18. If Brice gets to 20 pitches, Roenicke must pull him. Trouble is Walden may not have any more control. How the heck can Brice pretend to be a MLB pitcher and have nothing more than that crap command and control ?
  19. Brice is an adventure. One hard shot turned into an out by Dalbec, then walks the next one. Red Sox relievers are truly throwers not pitchers.
  20. The triumph of the uncluttered mind
  21. Making Hembree look bad. Oh, he perhaps is.
  22. JDM hitting .218/.693 after 40+ games. You can be sure he will be in Boston next year unless he is part of a Red Sox driven trade, and even then they will need to eat some contract, so I expect him back. On the other haand that is a man with a BAD BACK, swinging like a stiff. Something wrong with JD physically
  23. Wiggled his way through that self imposed jam without getting a scratch
  24. They are warming up, so probably see one if not both. Can't wait for Sox hitters who should know what they can throw.
  25. This is actually a serious question for those on the trade analysis sites: Could you get a legit #3 or #4 starter for a package of Benintendi (with healed ribs) and Matthew Barnes ?? If Bloom could, I would highly encourage it. Neither has shown that they are much more than middle range pieces and both could prosper from a change of scenery. Or is the Roenicke administration and coaching ( Hyer and Bush) not able to correct the somewhat obvious flaws in their games. Both are close to being headcases, IMO, and not the best choices in a rebuild towards 2021.
