I watched the Cardinals-Blue Jays game specifically to see Springer's ABs. He rewarded with a 2 for 4, 2 RBIs, a double . Alway like GS and worried when he hit against us in Fenway. I think he could be a valuable , veteran pickup who does not need a 2027 commitment. If Yoshi can play LF then I suspect George can too, even if in a platoon or just as a PH role in Fenway. I know he is definitely older and has had a weak season early but then I look at most of the Red Sox through June 24 and shed any concerns about adding Springer. Gausman also pitched today and you could reach similar conclusions. He is capable of getting 6 innings and keep the score down. He has had weak run support this year, and should have a better record.

Could be wrong but his AAV is less than Duran's 2026 ARB/negotiated contract. Yes it is a deal , and maybe the Red Sox should give him a bump next year unless he already has a few incentive bonuses

I think you are correct, Nick. Bello is establishing some value as shown in LA last night. I am guessing Craig B is getting calls where Bello is asked about. BUT, Given the Sox overall position and sights on the playoffs, Breslow will not deal Bello now

Definitely need 5 innings+ from Tolle which by itself is a tall order, but doable. Then the BP of Weissert Slaten , Guerroero and Whitlock, only if leading in the 8th, can finish it. Prefer to save Whitlock and Chapman for Sunday's game and the sweep.

I'm guessing Story makes it to ST(in June/July) mostly to see if other's injuries (Boston or other teams) make him usable somehow Otherwise they will waiver himself see if that draws any flies. In the end , the Sox will pay him out whether he plays or not

Tra y can use Whitlock 1x over the next 2 and Chapman is better tomorrow. Guerrero and Slaten are best and rested available. Weissert could ge 1 or 2 outs

Let's see how we think about Breslow Monday evening . I am sure it is very tempting for him to do almost nothing and let this crew just play it out. These players have achieved record performances. but looking at the daily lineups do induce some cringe worthy moments. But they have become our Idiots
