  1. When Cora and his coaches were fired after the April 25th 17 run blowout of the Otrioles, the Sox were 10-17 , one game worse than the 2-8 start . Since then they have gone 11-10 , while still run challenged . It's not a lot but the trend is very slightly positive. Still 6 below .500 , same as after the first 10 games where Cora did not have them ready to play .
  2. Fatal error by KC especially when Narvaez whifs on next pitch
  3. Sox struggling again vs an inferior opponent. Small lead and without Duran's save in LF, Kelly would have failed again. Sorry nothing new here
  4. Nice win by Gray and Contreras. Contributions by Masa and Gasper plus Automatic Chapman. Good to see Slaten worked back in vs. Weissert/Kelly
  5. Schriebrr is Weisserts doppelganger including his beard and pitching motion
  6. So you're saying the Sox have won every game in May by 0.31 runs ?
  7. Yes. JD does his job. A rare run for Sox. Starting to smell like a win
  8. Sogard executes very well. Now Duran needs to hit the ball
  9. Once RA returns who expects him to be a hot hitter. Why would time off get him ready to hit ?
  10. They all played for Tracy. Ask him why they are struggling
  11. Spoiled maybe. Expectant of a competitive team , certainly. But not the run from 2018 to this current team. Here's a question , was the firing of Cora and coaches (x Bailey), a planned thought out event or a spasmodic reaction to an internal power struggle, not unlike the Devers situation. In any event , it was not a strategic move to make the team better.
  12. So Sogard is a chaser too znd gets his 1st K. What the heck do they teach about hitting at Worcester or Portland ?
  13. Bello being Bello. just can't handle the 1st. Now he is fully messed up Short outing coming
  14. #2-5 are posting numbers that make sense for a competitive team , although Gasper's are a SSS . Duran must find a way to get on base in front of them , and not get picked off or thrown out stealing. I hope Sogard comes out red hot for at least 2 weeks . Question of the day--- Which will come first , Roman Anthony in the lineup or May 31 ?
  15. Anthony knows what to do when he is injured. He tells somebody. Seriously, if the manager and coaches cannot see a player who is struggling and check him out , we don't need them either. I am guessing that Story tried hard to be a veteran leader and work through it, an idea supported by management. Ghe question is, did Trevor hurt the team by doing so ?
  16. Sogard in for Durbin. The defensive whiz has been Pipped and is now a late inning defensive replacement
  17. It is Bello's normal turn as a starter. Only this time he actually needs to be his own opener. Tolle gave up a HR to the leadoff hitter and a couple of loud outs in the first, then went shutdown for multiple innings. Looking for same from Bello
  18. Great credit to Tolle for going so deep. 2 out error plus walks? This team needs to learn how to win
  19. Contreras had been chasing low pitches all day. Elder finally threw one up just enough and Willson jacked it
  20. Uncanny how some players find a way to fulfill their destiny If the groin was bothering him since late ST, why didn't he put his hand up much earlier rather than hurt the team
