If Duran can't steal 2B , his longevity shortens. It is one of the reasons he is still around. OTOH, I am not a fan of running on 3-2 counts. If you are going, do it a couple pitches earlier

Even if they do comeback do not expect much . Both are way behind the power curve for late season MLB -
I am traveling so not seeing the actual games, BUT, it occurs to me that in the Athletics series and now Jay's, most of the opponent runs have come with 2 outs, often no one on base. Sox pitchers and fielders then open the doors.

Seems like the team wide slump bug is back The pumpkin is emerging as every batter thinks he needs to swing for a 6 run homer.

Strictly my opinion and a guess at that but Breslow traded a pitcher with a sore elbow, who now is shut down with the UCL precursor. I think that was prescient and a great deal. -

Just a side note of little import, but the players trying to get back on the 26/40 are those who contributed to the 14 game below .500 record , and the ones being bounced are among those who have done much except win, win, win. The correct move is to roster and lineup the best talent , but I hope all these backups get WS rings and checks. The Lost Brigade -

let's the 10th win right from Jumpstreet. Jump on them early and bounce the A's for another series win. The Sox really jumped up in the standings starting June 25th. Breslow jumped over several candidates to become the CBO, and Tracy jumped Cora in a Boston alley to become manager. I hope the rest of the season goes well so we don't have any bridge jumpers . The independent league team in Hoboken just renamed themselves the Jersey Jumpers. Kangaroo is the mascot . The Army's precision skydiving team will be jumping to land on the mound as the last notes of the Anthem are played. If you think I am pushing the envelope then go take a flying leap, errr JUMP
