  1. Anytime Duran plays , and Kike /Arroyo get their rest night.
  2. I have noticed in multiple games that Wong has an odd way of backhanding pitches to his left side. Wondered how he could hold the pitch that way. Turns out that he couldn't. It was ******** by Youk and Wake about him getting crossed up by Houck.
  3. Well, only down by 1 playing the B lineup tonight.
  4. Rafael Devers OPS drifting slowly towards the low .800s . Last 15 games it is .695 OPS
  5. Time to answer with a 3 run bomb of our own. Refsnyder ?? That knock helps
  6. Do you think that Tanner is concious of his performance during the third time through the order, and tries to compensate by going away from his strength? That is a 6 run shitshow in the 5th
  7. Verdugo grew up in Tucson AZ, was drafted by Dodgers out of Sagauro HS in 2014. Identifies as Mexican per the WBC participation. Traded to Boston for some other guy . So my guess is that if hometown meant anything, Alex will go to Diamondbacks after 2024. Good thing "hometown" doesn't mean much. I would be surprised if the Sox make any contractual move on him this season, but should evaluate him closely next winter for a new contract. He will cost them a lot more than the $6.3MM he signed for this year.
  8. The best thing I see in Verdugo is that he can handle the FB and get the bat head out there.
  9. Maybe JH and Bloom could have a cup of Dunkin and discuss locking Dugo up soon .
  10. Because he struck out on a pitch that was way high and outside, meaning to me he was determined to swing at anything because he is so good.
  11. So to get a win, it must be a walkoff. Who has the magic bat tonight. Devers would be a good choice
  12. Sometimes I think a guy hitting HR is the worst thing that can happen to them Yu Chang would be at SS and not on IL if he hadn't swung out of his shoes in his last AB. Valdez now thinks he's a power hitter
  13. Yoshi tracking that pop fly used the only english he knows to ward Kike away, " GTFOH"
  14. I grant you the boy made a play, but then completely messed up the conclusion of the inning. Kike is a butcher at SS. 10 errors to date ( May 1) Never liked him
  15. Wink doesn't seem to have anything so far
  16. Kike with a big play from SS to get the leadoff man Without that play, Blue Jays have a run F'ing Kike cannot play worth a damn
  17. Moon, it's a running sarcastic discussion with Max who felt it was necessary to remind me that we have differing opinions on a play
  18. Martin is pitching up in the zone, could get hit and not yet looking good on his control
  19. The play at second could not have been more routine, Valdez could have taken a nap after catching the throw-in. If the Sox lose, it's on Enmanuel
  20. Nobody said Valdez couldn't hit
  21. I don't think they can go much further than mid-May if Casas cannot start being productive. He may just need to go to WooSox to relearn hitting. Bloom should be well along shopping for a LH hitting 1Bman to alternate with Turner.
  22. Now, other than the 3 run ( 2 walks on base), 2 out HR allowed to Bichette, Kluber is pitching a fine game.
  23. Corey seems to be another of those pitchers who need innings to contain only 2 outs, not the traditional 3.
  24. Good observation. Yoshida had Vlad Jr out by 4' Carried the tag into the body , not the arm. But then Valdez is incompetent in the field. He does hit and run though Blue Jay fielder appears to have made a similar mistake on Valdez's stolen base.
  25. Kluber has become a parody of a MLB pitcher
