    No worries ,Moon. With 12 to go, I'm sure Boston will get 4 or 5 . Not enough to clear the 80 win barrier, but few enough to insure significant changes in approach to building a competitive team at the MLB level.

    The question of Cora's smarts or lack thereof was fully explored via the BP roulette process in the first game. The conclusion is indeterminate Could be that Devers is a defensive replacement.

    Oh for 14 w/RISP. Sox batters have come up with a cumulative total of 30 men on base in front of them and never driven a single one in. So happy for Cedanne that he got his solo HR to pop his cherry.

    Reyes with a useless out. Should have bunted up the 1B line. PH Raffy and the IBB him.

    Sox get 5 innings of shutout from Pivetta, and now 4 of same from Crawford. These efforts are backed up with a total of 2 solo HRs, and a run on a WP . Not the first time this season . This type failure needs some analysis and correction.

    There are some naysayers on the hitting from his MiLB data. Let's see him prove up the defensive side which he may be doing , steal a base or two, and play both SS and 2B at the same time while covering short Cf.

    I know Rodon is a LH'er , but in a game for rights to the cellar, Devers gets to sit but Turner can DH and run the bases, hopefully. Cora did say something about the extra rest for Sale that was a clear giveaway that they have given up internally. I do think Dugo's AB in the 9th was only a microcosm of his abilities but, it is the shining light as to why I would not sign Verdugo going forward. You simply cannot coach stupid or have a player with no ability to think. Yes, had he ghotten a hit or even a fly ball, it would have been a SUCCESS instead of just SUCKING but it was not the right play. Indicative of a guy with no baseball intelligence. And don't tell me if it had been a strike Dugo would have been down 0-1 and his hit expectation drops to .034. He is unintelligent and you cannot fix nor coach that. Absolute low point of the season for me.

    Ahhh, the tiburons are loose in the water and beginning to turn on each other in a cannabilistic feeding frenzy over a team , manager , FO, owner who have all underperformed this year. Finishing about .500 and battling for the cellar slot is not what this team should be about, but the last few years it is the reality. That is what should be of concern, not who relieved the LOSING pitcher.

    If the Red Sox get a HBP, single or walk followed by a HR, the discussion of who should have relieved becomes moot. More likely we get a pop-up, infield bouncer and a K, Game Over

    The Sox got the Yankees starter out early , but never followed up with any scoring. They do look disinterested and incapable. As O'B says, Nothing There. I would say Nobody Home
