Offense is the problem again. Pitching was good enough to win. Sox are so weak at so many positions. Durbin has one homer off of a position player. Sox used to always get 30 HRs a season from the third baseman.

99% of the time guys are stupid for sliding into first. If you got there faster they would be sliding in the Olympic 100 meter dash.

Slaten blew the Minnesota game a couple of weeks ago and now has blown today's game.

What a pathetic opening to the Fox Broadcast. They show highlights of the 1986 series Buckner play (Bob Stanley's fault as much as anyone's), then Buck Dent bloop homer off Yankee plant, Mike Torrez. All they show is 2004 world series win and don't mention 2007, 2013 and 2018 vs. Yankees one WS title since 2003. And they have the bandwagon frontrunner no talent bum Spike Lee talking, saying what a rivalry it is. Today's Red Sox team doesn't care about the so called rivalry. They are not intense about anything. The only person who cares about beating the Yankees is Sonny Gray.

The only reason Durbin had a good series is I was playing against him in fantasy. I can't believe the other guy started him all week.

That is an excellent rotation going forward although I think Sonny will be traded at the deadline because he is valuable to a contending team.

Why is Tommy Kahnle and his 5 saves and 1.40 ERA still in AAA?

Good thing Breslow paid Atlanta to take Sale for Grissom. Brilliant.

This team is so bad. Sell off the veteran parts asap and try to get as many prospects as possible. Then fire Breslow and the entire FO and get somebody in there (Theo?) who knows what they are doing. The fans have to stop going to the park to watch this crap.

I wanted to sign Schwarber when they had him already on the team. That should have been a no brainer. -
This article sums it up perfectly. This is a terrible hitting baseball team. They are weak. So many easy outs. No hard contact. Nobody in the lineup, outside of maybe Contreras, that the other team has to game plan for. No clutch hitters. No situational hitters. Nobody can bunt a guy over. The weakest hitting third basemen I have seen in over 60 years. Utterly pathetic.

Would have been a nice start to the homestand in addition to a 4th straight win. Slaten sucked tonight but the foul ball could have been caught and Tracey should have pulled him after the Buxton homer or for sure when the next guy got on. Left him in toooooo long.
