  1. Tim McCarver said Bob Gibson was the luckiest pitcher in baseball. Whenever he pitched, the other team didn't score.
  2. He has to pitch a shut out to win. This offense is non-existent. It looks like we were sold a bill of goods on Roman Anthony. He does not look good at all. Contreras and Abreu look like the only two hitters. Maybe Cedanne.
  3. After seeing this team for 21 games I think I can objectively say that "THEY STINK!!!!!!"
  4. Celtics looked great today and we have the Bruins tonight. Like Meatloaf sang, "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad".
  5. Sandoval has not been tearing anything up in AAA
  6. Those 3 guys were better than anybody the Sox have playing now.
  7. At this point, this team is not worth watching and wasting 3 hours of life. They are flat and not a talented team. They have the personality of the manager. No fire or desire to be better. Breslow and ownership are just going through the motions. I can't believe the fans will continue to show up at Fenway to support this product.
  8. Nope. Never. And I have been watching since 1965, This one is pathetic. No power whatsoever. Not one player in the lineup who scares the opposing team. A complete whiff by Breslow and the front office.
  9. Roman Anthony is also a huge disappointment so far. He does not look like a star.
  10. Bello tries to nibble, nibble, nibble, but doesn't have the control to do it. He is afraid to challenge hitters. He is a big disappointment. He will pitch a good game once in a while like last week in St. Louis and then four or five bad ones. He cannot be trusted.
  11. I have a lot more faith in Mayer hitting than Durbin. Mayer has the ability to use the left field wall. I saw him hit a lot of good balls to left last weekend in St. Louis that would have been hits in Fenway. Durbin looks like a powerless punch and Judy hitter.
  12. That ball was a foot off of the plate. Terrible AB
  13. Can anyone tell me why Wong wasn't bunting after Durbin led off the 6th with a double? Dumb managing.
  14. Kyle Harrison pitching well for Milwaukee, making the trade for the non-hitting Caleb Durbin look worse by the day. Young left handed pitchers don't grow on trees. Non-hitting third basemen are a dime a dozen.
  15. Very windy in St. Louis today. Haven't got to Busch yet to see which way its blowing. Maybe the Sox will hit one out today. Two nights, nothing close.
  16. This team is going to have to win with pitching because the lineup does not have enough pop. They also don't bunt or move runners. They are poor situational hitters. Its going to be a 3rd or 4th place team, at best.
  17. They don’t know about protecting the plate with two strikes. They’ would rather take the pitch and beg for a walk.
  18. I’ve been here in St. Louis for both games. They have not hit a ball to the warning track yet in two nights.
