  1. I don't think it's a stretch to simply say that in this game one team is much better than their W/L record and the other team is worse than their W/L record. But it's a long season and due to injuries and additions things could change.
  2. Looks like all the SOX batters are in need of a service dog.
  3. JD's stats are falling faster then an anvil w/o a parachute.
  4. Marwin, the SOX best defensive infielder, saved a run on that play.
  5. Thanks for the bad base running. Take all the help we can get.
  6. Well, that takes care of the perfect game, the no-hitter, and the shut-out.
  7. When the OBP of the lead-off batter is lower than the team's OBP, that's not good.
  8. I have a bad feeling about this series in Houston. The Astros are much better than their present record and are due to explode. Hopefully, they can wait until Friday.
  9. The Rays are 1st in defense, 2nd in runs scored, and 3rd in pitching in the AL. Interesting comparison with the SOX in that the SOX have a .259BA while the Rays as a team are at .232. Yet, both teams are a hair apart in runs per game. Can anyone say timely hitting? Another interesting stat is the Rays' OBP is .318 and the SOX are at .319. It appears the Rays have been more patient and selective at the plate. One last stat is the Rays' defense has prevented 29 runs, which is 2nd only to the Padres' 34 in MLB. Combine this well-balanced team with a very good and innovative manager and an excellent FO and they are very much for real and are probably the team to beat in the AL East. And this is the nicest thing I'll ever say about anything in Florida.
  10. SOX didn't need a rain delay; they needed a rain out.
  11. Fun Fact: Of the 72 MLB pitchers who have at least 45 innings pitched, E-Rod ranks 69th in ERA at 5.64.
  12. You could fry an egg on Renfroe right now.
  13. Just curious; do the SOX have a potential 6th starter in their minor league system who's ready to be brought up?
  14. When the SOX are this helpless, there's only one thing to say: GO BRUINS!
  15. I know this is Memorial Day, but this is a game to forget.
  16. I'm already missing those NL East teams.
  17. "I liked the way the ball was leaving his hand."
  18. Nothing wrong with Devers' glove, but his arm can cause problems. Nice play on that one.
  19. Maybe the SOX should shutdown E-Rod for a while.
  20. Except for W/L, which is the most misleading stat in evaluating a pitcher, E-Rod's more revealing lifetime stats are below average to poor.
