  1. Good point. I would say though that a closer's ERA is an important stat, only because closers usually start an inning.
  2. My friend(internet) said it was Chris Sale on 6/05/19.
  3. Excellent performance by Perez and the 3rd quality start in a row by SOX pitchers in this series.
  4. Of the SOX 3 best pitchers, only one will face the Yankems this weekend. Btw, Cole gave up 5 earned runs in 5 innings as the Yankems lost 9-2.
  5. This HP chUMP has been bad for both teams. The ineptness of the many HP chUMPS has pretty much completely erased what used to be known as the strike zone.
  6. I was referring to their spots in the current rotation. Richards is 3, Pivetta is 4, and Perez is 5.
  7. Is it possible the SOX have the best 3, 4, and 5 starters in the AL?
  8. Perez's pitch count after 4 is as low a number as I've seen from a SOX starter in a very, very long time.
  9. Thanks, again. Base running appears not to be an Astro strength.
  10. Great save by Santana after being screened by Dugo. No, this isn't hockey.
  11. Under the heading of good news where one can find it, the SOX won't be facing Cole for the Yankems this weekend.
  12. Good luck with your Little League game tonight. And positioning the catcher behind home plate is an innovative idea:)
  13. I broke into tears reading your post, Tyler.
  14. You know as well as I do that teams during a 162 game schedule go thru offensive slumps. My point was that no way should a player with a OBP of .290 be leading off.
  15. Based on the Astros' starting pitcher's stats, the SOX should have no problem putting up some crooked numbers today. The trouble is scoring runs against anyone lately hasn't been IZZI.
  16. I agree; the problem is that Cora loves Ki'ke.
  17. I expect M. Perez will keep the SOX in tomorrow's game. He, too, has been a pleasant surprise. I, also, expect the SOX to win tomorrow, because it's hard to sweep any team in a 4 game series.
  18. I promise not to sleep thru tomorrow's game, but I can't promise the SOX won't.
  19. I was awake for the first two; that didn't help.
  20. Quality start by Pivetta after shaky 1st inning. He has been a pleasant surprise and my earlier post about him was dead wrong.
  21. First time ever; I slept thru a SOX game. Got to the bottom of the second and then zzzzzz's. When I woke up it was over. Hell, if the SOX offense can sleep thru 3 games, I don't feel too bad about sleeping thru 1.
