  1. Again, more proof that a pitcher's W/L is a weak evaluator of a pitcher's talent.
  2. I don't believe Richards, although he did struggle, was weak tonight. However, even if the BP had come thru, SOX would still have lost. Weak hitting and weak defense were definitely on display again. One more thing, 'pounding the strike zone' shouldn't be a foreign language to most of the SOX pitchers. Pitch count from the BP is ridiculous. I'm not including Barnes in that group.
  3. At least the SOX didn't lose any more ground to the Rays tonight.
  4. I'm guessing by the end of the season the Astros will have a better record than us. Considering everything, that the SOX are 10 games above .500 is really amazing.
  5. Maybe Cora will mix up the line-up tomorrow. Maybe I'll be first violinist in the Boston Symphony. The odds are the same.
  6. In defense of Devers' arm, I predict he's gonna become a very good DH.
  7. Bob Gibson says: "Hold my beer." No pitcher that I know of had more quality starts wasted.
  8. If VAZ had gotten that single his last time up, that would have been timely hitting.
  9. Devers is in a slight slump; happens to everyone, even Trout. He's the least of the SOX problems.
  10. Santana might want to bring a guitar to the plate next time.
  11. Where would the SOX be w/o Richards and Barnes? Don't even want to think about it.
  12. Robo umps on the bases, also? Btw, will robo umps have their own union?
  13. Devers swinging and missing very hittable pitches. Oh, well, maybe Renfroe can save us.
  14. Good inning by Richards. He's still our best starter with a shout out to M. Perez.
  15. Those days aren't coming back. The manager's job now of days is to not hurt the player's feelings.
  16. Astros tried to help us. Btw, is Ki'ke Cora's son by a different father?
