  1. Wong gave the DP sign and Wink delivered.
  2. At least it ain't Bleier.
  3. After Wong was robbed by a great catch the 'in any other ballpark' came up again. In any other ballpark Teddy Ballgame may have hit 700 HR's. In any other ballpark Willie Mays doesn't make that iconic catch off the bat of Vic Wertz. IOW, please just drop this 'in any other ballpark' crap.
  4. Captain Obvious just called to notify me that it will take more than 3 runs to win this game.
  5. DEVERS DEliVERS! Berrios and dosey dotes and little lambsy divies.
  6. If it's custard pie, I want to be in the FO.
  7. Similar to how great Carl Crawford was when he played for Tampa.
  8. One would think the guys in the booth would know how often the SOX leave runners at 2nd base with no outs. It happens a lot fellas.
  9. Based on the SOX scoring pattern over the last 7 games, if the Jays score 4 runs, the SOX will be in serious trouble and Cora will probably bring in Bleier.
  10. I believe Duvall was known as Mr. September while he was in Atlanta.
  11. For those looking for something new for breakfast may I introduce a new cereal from Canada called Berry-O's. Fresh freeze-dried blueberries combined with circular oats. Included in each box of Berry-O's is an autographed baseball, signed by people who work in the Berry-O's factory making minimum wage, but they're Canadian, so they don't care. Don't forget to add the milk.
  12. "The pen is mightier than the sword" were his last words spoken before being killed in a sword fight using a pen.
  13. The "outta here" guy is the optimist here? That's really funny.
  14. "Very much?" I guess that will depend on Sale, Houck, Whitlock and Story and how they perform and how long Sale and Whitlock can stay healthy. So, "very much" may be a bit too optimistic. And then there's the SOX 'bipolar' offense to contend with.
  15. Wink has been a long reliever along with Murphy. I posted that the long relievers have been decent. Jansen is the closer and he's been good. I just didn't include him in the short reliever list. I should have I guess.
  16. The earlier projection was he would be in the SOX line-up starting tonight. From what I've just read he won't be brought up for any of this Jays' series.
  17. Cora revealed yesterday that when Whitlock returns, he will go to the BP.
  18. I don't think I said that. I was just explaining that, as usual, the SOX best prospects are non-pitchers.
  19. Just be happy knowing the SOX have a top 5 farm system. However, if the ranking was just based on prospective pitching, the SOX would have a bottom 5 farm system.
  20. If I was to describe this SOX offense in one word, it would be bipolar.
  21. Tonight proved that the fans will show up no matter how many times the FO gives them the finger.
  22. Don't get me wrong; the SOX have a couple of long relievers who've been decent. It's the short relievers, except for Martin and Bernardino, who've stunk up the joint.
  23. Hard to be a contender when a team has a bullpen of cow s***. Trust me on this one. I know it sounds unnatural.
  24. Except for that 6 run game on Tuesday, the SOX have had a problem scoring more than 3 runs. I guess the opposing pitching has just been too marvelous for words.
  25. Devers hasn't done much delivering of late. Maybe it's the increase in gas prices.
