  1. It would be impossible for Martin to be as good this year as he was last year.
  2. The difference in a starter going 6 innings instead of 5 is huge.
  3. The SOX have Martin and Kenley to cover the 8th and 9th, so the 7th s/b interesting.
  4. If MLB games were 7 innings long, the SOX would have the best starting staff in the league. Unfortunately for us, games are still 9 innings.
  5. This is what can happen when the starters, for the most part, can't go more than 5. Keep going to the well and the well runs dry.
  6. That would be a HR nowhere but Fenway, so it's good the SOX are playing at Fenway.
  7. The SOX were due for another injury. Let's HOPE it's not serious. Damn these guys are fragile.
  8. 26 pitches that inning. Hello BP.
  9. There's no excuse for a player like Reyes not perfecting how to bunt. The hitting coach should make it a priority to teach glove and no bat players to bunt.
  10. Nice piece of hitting there by Wong.
  11. One would think that weak batters like Reyes would, at least, know how to bunt. I guess not.
  12. They got rid of a pretty good ballplayer. I believe his name was Mookie Ruth.
  13. "That's a HR at Camden Yards." There's some useless information.
  14. I wonder if he'll be called 'Doc' by his teammates?
  15. Devers just didn't swing hard enough.
  16. They're due for another 3 HR inning.
  17. But, as far as I know, his translator doesn't have a gambling problem. So there's that.
  18. Why do I have the feeling I'm gonna be dead before the SOX win another championship? OTOH, lots and lots of SOX fans died w/o ever seeing a championship. Ive lived long enough to have seen 4, so I'll stop my complaining right now.
  19. Tyler O'Neil's 6 HR's have all been solo shots. In the 2021 season Bryce Harper started the season with 10 solo HR's.
  20. It really helps that neither Devers or Casas is hitting worth a shite.
