  1. I'm guessing striking out 3 batters on 9 pitches has happened more often in baseball history than 3 outs on 3 pitches.
  2. The pitcher can have a lot of say in striking out 3 batters on 9 pitches. In the case of 3 outs on 3 pitches, the pitcher really has no say.
  3. But seriously, the SOX would have to end the season 2-8 to finish with 78 wins. As impotent as their offense has been lately, I doubt they will go 2-8. I'm guessing more like 3-7 or 4-6. Either way the SOX will still finish under .500, which is where most of us predicted before the season started.. So really, no surprise.
  4. C'mon, MOON. Let's get 78 this season and then hope for 79 next season.
  5. Just checked. 3 outs on 3 pitches is also called immaculate.
  6. It's amazing Judge hasn't damaged both his shoulders and back from carrying his team. But then Judge is built like a horse.
  7. He definitely didn't hurt it by carrying his team.
  8. A timely hit and it's no surprise it's by Duran.
  9. I would change the word 'hitters' to 'batters.'
  10. I disagree. The SOX have to win 3 more games.
  11. Houck hasn't had a win since the middle of July. He gives up 1 run in five tonight and again will not get a win.
  12. Pain tolerance? Is Cora referring to us fans watching?
  13. Actually, there's no reason to have Houck pitch anymore this season. Why risk injuring the SOX best pitcher?
  14. Good move by Cora. No reason to extend Houck in this lost season.
  15. If that's 'immaculate,' what is 3 outs on 3 pitches called?
  16. Not a good idea. Wouldn't want him to injure a shoulder or damage his ribs.
  17. He's not a bum. Btw, I may have asked you this before, but have you ever played baseball? It doesn't appear so.
  18. Obviously, you're not aware of the SOX tradition of eating contracts. I'm also pretty sure that some team in MLB could use a .290 hitter.
  19. I will admit that Devers turning Cole into a limp noodle is Devers' most saving grace this season.
  20. At least Masa can hit. I still firmly believe the SOX will trade Masa after the season. Very true.
