  1. I'm not exactly happy about it either, but that still doesn't answer why Kenley didn't pitch in the 9th.
  2. Vegas, you've been watching the movie MAJOR LEAGUE too often.
  3. If it's true Cora doesn't want to use Kenley in back to back games, then, shite, the SOX should have traded him.
  4. Kenley was warming up to come in in the 9th. Possible he's not feeling well? Don't get the post game show, so maybe someone will find out why Jock was put in that situation.
  5. Wong got wronged on a couple of excellent defensive plays.
  6. 4 runs today. In the lyrics of a KINKS' song "Catch me now, I'm falling."
  7. Well, Jock really isn't the closer. You may be blaming the wrong guy.
  8. Between base running blunders and shoddy defense and other things I won't post in fear of angering someone, it's quite surprising this team is still over .500. On the positive side I've liked Urias' offensive side so far. Looks like he wants to be the SOX regular 2nd baseman.
  9. Can the SOX break the 3 run barrier? They've only done it once in the last 7 games.
  10. Playoffs? You're talking about PO's? Some football coach used those words years ago.
  11. Jock Strap only gave up one run, which would be graded successful for him.
  12. Martin is the set up guy, best in the league. Kenley s/b pitching now. I have no idea why he's not.
  13. Martin's ERA+ this season is 298. The league average is 100.
  14. Today's HP chUMPIRE has done a fine job.
  15. An unusually tough inning for Martin, but he's been money so far this season.
  16. Devers is used to a taller 1st baseman.
  17. Also, don't hit balls near Chapman either.
  18. I think the SOX should avoid hitting fly balls there.
  19. It was in the strike zone long enough for Ref to swing, but I believe it would have been a ball. Like I said it was nasty.
  20. I think REF pinch batting for Casas was the right call.
  21. That was a nasty pitch employed to K REF.
  22. Stengel felt the same way about Whitey Ford. He wouldn't allow Whitey to pitch at Fenway.
  23. I believe there's a couple of short relievers ahead of him in line.
