  1. Romy Gonzalez is out with a wrist injury. When asked by the head of the SOX medical staff if Romy was sure it wasn't his shoulder, Romy was adamant that it was his wrist.
  2. The SOX IL has become an LL(Laundry List).
  3. You are correct, sir. I should have began with the 2012 season. I don't know why I started with the 2011 season. Brain fart.
  4. Well, the SOX have finished last in the AL East 6 times in the last 13 years. It'll be 7 in the last 14(50%) after this season. How? The SOX FO is still waiting for their HS draftees to reach MLB status. IOW, they're banking on prospects to turn this embarrassing franchise around. I did notice a lot of empty seats tonight, so that's a start, or is that an end? Stay tuned.
  5. By the time September arrives we will look back at these early posts and realize just how wrong we were about this SOX team. Now many here would say he's either kidding or he's a damn fool. Well, the only way I can respond to those assertions is to say they would be correct on both.
  6. If you got lemons, make lemonade. Since 2020 the SOX have made barrels of lemonade, except for 2021, which was an aberration.
  7. I believe the SOX will be near the top of the league in 'come from behind' opportunities. Not 'come from behind' wins, but just the chance to do so.
  8. I don't follow the NBA, but I do follow hockey. And one thing I've learned is the regular season doesn't mean shite once the PO's start. I guess that's a little less true with baseball, because half the league doesn't qualify for the PO's.
  9. Dalbec has made it into an art form to be behind in the count.
  10. Kind of like finding a drinking establishment where you feel comfortable.
  11. I wonder after 1918 at what point the SOX fans stopped talking about their previous 5 championships? I don't think many of us have reached that point yet, but that point will eventually be reached.
  12. Btw, they did win two championships. I'd be amiss if I didn't mention that.
  13. Well, it still beats Dancin' With The Stars. I know; that's a very low bar.
  14. Since 2011 the SOX have finished last in the AL East 6 times, not counting this season. They've finished 1st 4 times They've finished 3rd 2 times. They've finished 2nd 1 time. So for the most part it's either been feast or famine. Since 2020, it's mostly been famine.
  15. If the SOX place Devers on the IL, they will have 84 million on injured reserve. So as of now, the 25 active players have a total payroll of about 70 million.
  16. You're seeing one right now, The RMS TITANIC.
  17. Big Market? Those days are over. Have been for a while.
  18. Unfortunately, the BRUINS aren't playing tonight.
  19. 1918 2018 Anyone here see where this is going?
  20. So the SOX retained most of Sale's salary and got in return an injured 2nd baseman. This would be humorous if it wasn't so sad.
  21. Btw, did SOX ticket prices get reduced? I know. Dumb question.
  22. The SOX total payroll of 180 million includes the 25 million retained for Sale.
