  1. He's definitely not a Peterbilt.
  2. I believe it's at the point where opposing teams realize before the game that they better score more than 6 runs if they want any chance of beating the SOX.
  3. If you dislike Masa because you feel he was overpaid, you must really hate Story.
  4. Masa is a pure contact hitter. He rarely over swings, makes pitchers pay for mistakes and has good recognition of the strike zone. IOW, he's a professional batsman.
  5. Let me get this straight. You agreed with Cora for pulling Pivetta with 2 outs in the 5th and no one on and tonight you agreed with Cora for leaving Bello in with 2 outs in the 5th and no one on. That makes perfect sense.
  6. He may have been safe, but the above still holds true.
  7. Smith is a terrible baserunner. He's proved it twice tonight already.
  8. Is there a Bobby Dalbec, Jr out there?
  9. It's all about command. He throws strikes, but has no command of his pitches consistently. His W/L record is more representative of the SOX offense, than his pitching talent.
  10. Will give the Royals Story and the SOX top three prospects for Witt, Jr.
  11. Bobby Witt, Jr is from another planet. Best all-around player in MLB, imho.
  12. A grooved change-up usually doesn't end well. Fortunately, it was a solo.
  13. OTOH, Wong had been hitting .353 with 2 outs and RISP.
  14. Would the KC manager have walked Devers if Abreu had remained at 1st? Probably not.
  15. The majority of those error were earlier in the season when the SOX starters were pitching quite well.
  16. They are also 1st in most errors in MLB, which is why their W/L record isn't more reflective of the two above stats.
  17. They're actually 1st in MLB in OPS. They are 6th in the AL in team ERA and 13th in MLB in ERA.
  18. A mediocre LH gives the SOX more trouble than a Cy Young contending RH. It's been proven for a great deal of the season.
  19. Good shut down inning. Pitch count not encouraging.
  20. I've been noticing that, also. But it really hasn't effected the SOX offensively. They just don't score often in the 1st, but make up for it in the remaining 8.
  21. Great to see the opposing team make a big infield error.
  22. SOX lead MLB in OPS at .776 and are tied with San Diego for the lead in BA at .264.
  23. 9 runs, 18 hits, 27 outs. Good win!
