  1. The strongest part of any baseball team can go into a slump. The SOX offense is no exception.
  2. Nothing wrong with SOX pitchers that 2 out half innings wouldn't fix.
  3. Losing the 1st game of a 3 game series has led to the SOX winning the next 2. They've done that more than a few times this season. Let's hope it happens again.
  4. I loved how the 50's movie makers were more concerned about nuclear blasts creating giant insects than the concern of mass destruction. But we got Godzilla from the panic, so it wasn't all bad.
  5. My bad. After checking I found the movie was about giant locusts. The giant mantis was in the film Deadly Mantis.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, the movie Beginning Of The End was about giant mantises. And none of the mantis was named Mickey.
  7. Shite, now you can't even trust a Booser.
  8. To make Cora's job easier and relieve him of all analytics, when it comes to the SOX BP, just put their names in a hat and draw one.
  9. They also suck like a Hoover. See what I did there, Vegas? 'Hooker/Hoover.'
  10. A nice 1-2-3 inning by Sgt. Garcia.
  11. Devers swinging for a 5 run homer, when all that was needed was a base hit.
  12. Devers BA with RISP comes back to haunt him. Maybe the Astros' manager saw that stat.
  13. Averaging over 6 runs per game and double digit hits isn't sustainable.
  14. Astros' BP has a 3.25 ERA, so it's a good one.
  15. Actually, MAX, to this point in the season the SOX W/L record is better than it has any right to be.
  16. It's still early August; I can't wait to see what this pitching staff looks like in September.
  17. In defense of the SOX Fenway's a tough park for them to play in. Which is strange because Fenway's always been known to be friendly for LH batters.
  18. If it ain't the starters, it's the BP. Pick your poison.
  19. Good job by Houck; bad job by Sims.
  20. Astros' pitcher firing 'blanks' to the bottom of the SOX order. Timely hitting by those 3, especially Hamilton.
  21. Lead-off double syndrome. What is it? It's when a batter leads off the inning with a double and then dies at 3rd. No known vaccine is available. SOX have been suffering from this for most of the season.
  22. Off topic: For those of you who love to snack I found a new to me bag of delights. It's called Candy Pop, which is a mix of popcorn and mini M&M's. I find it more addictive than Caramel Corn, which I also love.
  23. Blanco vs Houck Duran Abreu Masa Devers Wong Smith Sogard Rafaela Hamilton SOX need to get back to their 6-9 runs per game because there's no reason to believe the Astros won't also being scoring a lot. Go SOX!
  24. A good way to describe this SOX team would be the following. The opposing RH pitcher walks very slowly to the mound. The opposing LH pitcher walks with a bit more quickness to the mound. The opposing hitters run to the batter's box.
