I get it, but if you get Realmuto, he will get the lion share of starts behind the plate.

Too early to give up on Sanchez, Realmuto is awesome but I still think Sanchez can be an average defender behind the home and we all know what he can do with the bat

They will try Frazier in LF and maybe divide his time 50/50 with Gardner at the beginning of the season, if Frazier performs then it will be his job full time

By the way, is not like this contract will cripple the payroll for years (like Ellsbury)

I like the move for several reasons, he still can be productive, is not like his production fell of a cliff; it's a good clubhouse presence to mentor the young guys, he leads by example (hustle, preparation, etc); insurance for injuries and finally it says great things about management, like this is not only business, we will take care of your when the time comes.

It all depends on the contract. Rumor is that he will go back to Atlanta to finish his career as a Brave. Don't know how much left in his tank, but I still believe he can be a good addition, if his salary compared to Romine is the same I''d like him in the team as a backup

The Astros just declined Brian McCann option he became a free agent, I wonder if he still has enough in the tank to replace Romine, he probably can give you some quality at bats from the bench and also work with Sanchez in his receiving skills

even in that scenario no room for Harper I think it means CC is gone, most of his value was for his clubhouse presence and leadership, now Gardner might fill the role all by himself and still can be productive

He's not the player he was, but still far from toast. In a down year he had 2.8 bWAR. It might be the beginning of the end but he should have at least 1-2 years on him

I don't know, not many of the are worth much on the trade market Stanton and Judge are not going anywhere Hicks still has that "injuty prone" label attached Ellsbury.... I don't need to elaborate on this Frazier is coming from a lost season and nobody knows for sure the type of player he can become Gardner just secured a 10-5 (no trade rights) not sure Cashman signed him to just flip him somewhere else

I like Happ. but I have the feeling that he will cost more than what he's worth, CC can be year to year, Happ will seek a 3 years contract

I like Harper, but with Stanton in the fold he's just bad fit, the team has enough OF, Stanton, Judge, Hicks, Frazier, Ellsbury (ughhh). Let's focus on the real need pitching, somebody who will take us over the top

The cost will be HUGE for Kershaw, with his back problems, I'd say we pass on him

I'd prefer CC, they are almost the same pitcher plus his clubhouse presence has value, everything points at Garner leaving, if that happens the Yanks will be without their 2 veterans leaders in the clubhouse

The big difference in the last few years is that Cashman is favoring high character guys over "head cases" as Machado, I might be wrong, but really doubt the Yankees sign Machado

If it means we get one GAME CHANGER pitcher, like MadBum or deGrom, I'd be inclined to trade Andujar, but not Severino or Torres
