  1. It feels like we're at a fairly big name rock concert, and there's only 12 people in the audience--and one is the sound engineer.
  2. Six innings was my wish.
  3. Is Johnson on a pitch count? Or is he up to speed?
  4. There’s a new Chris Sale, 21 year old Dustin May of the Dodgers. Same height, same weight, and getting lots of attention as did Chris when he first came up. No, I’m not suggesting we trade for him.
  5. Repeating would mean getting into the AFL semi-finals. This was and still should be fully expected. This is 240 million dollar team, which has a roster that is nearly identical to last years Champ team. That said, who is most to blame to this point: Obviously, the starting pitchers. Way below par. And the central reason for this thread.
  6. Yeah, when you're sitting out in right field, you get the impression that no ball hit to right will be playable. But Benny's hit would have been out of any park.
  7. And to boot Gardner is back in the lineup. Even the 9th hitter will be trouble.
  8. 8 games against our arch-rival in 11 days is bad MLB scheduling. Add those two stupid home games in London also with the Yanks, and this is certainly an off-kilter season in this and so many other ways.
  9. I agree. It should have been a easy-go season for us... instead we don't show up and let the Yanks have the easy unimpeded road.
  10. Eovaldi's comeback is working out fine... he pitches an inning every other day, and under little pressure. Tonight's is the most pressure since it's a 2 run deficit only that he must preserve.
  11. We're ranked 7th in the AL, so I guess most of those teams behind us are in the AL. 8 of the 10.
  12. Well, we can't say that this season is out of character for the Sox. We've always been known as a no-pitch, big bat team... They used to refer to the team as a "country club..." easy going, big hitters to impress, but not much in the way of seriousness.
  13. Is this a triple-feature?
  14. first i'm gonna say "Ha" and the i'm gonna hope for homer
  15. TB has 12 pitchers on their roster... 2 starters and 10 relievers. How to hell are they in the WC picture? Thay are a true low budget indy film.
  16. We don't have single shut-down starter. Nor do we have a genuine stopper. Case closed.
  17. This is only too accurate. When the Rays play half their home games north of the border, it will be even more true.
  18. Eovaldi pitched an inning last night. He probably goes again tomorrow, not tonite..
  19. And a 236 million payroll should dispute it too.
  20. The only Boog I know is Boog Powell.
  21. Give him 110 pitches the way Boone did with Tanaka a few days ago.
  22. Fenway isn't the Bronx.
  23. The owner and DD challenged the current team and put the season on its back. tonight is the first response. Not a very a good one.
  24. I heard an interview with Luck about this injury. He says the body doesn't know about dates, timing, and the schedule, and that you just gotta listen to what to hell is going on and shut it down when you get the signal.
