    After this game, I've suddenly lost much of my confidence about those 4 games in the Bronx. I'm thinking now that the Wild Card is indeed our single goal. And that will probably a barn burner between 4-5 teams

    NO SALE: no buyer either. And you can't use a 150 million dollar pitcher in relief. We either assume that he'll adjust and be ok, or we're once again, in deep trouble with a bad contract... one that hasn't even begun yet.

    Wow!! Now that's Breaking News! 2 for one. I don't know which is more startling to me. But I'm sure glad the Yanks aint getting Stroman. As to Bauer, I'd suspend him.

    We have no closer. So, Cora just plays his hunches according to the situation. Until we settle on one, this current no-closer deal will continue... possibly to the end of the season, if no obvious closer is here by next wed.

    I suspect the Mets will not move Wheeler if they can trade Syndegaard, which I'm quite sure they will do. He's got two more years of team control, so I suspect Houston will not pass this up. Why would Smith be available??

    Too bad we played those London games, we might otherwise have 6 straight home wins vs NY--by tomorrow, that is.

    I thought it was just Fenway. I'm for changing it up with every hitter, and in accordance with the park dimensions, score, inning etc

    It's done at Fenway because of the expansive center field and short distances down the line. You gotta cheat toward center to cover the ground.

    I've got a strong sense that we sweep em. E-Rod and Sale plus our ripping bats are my reasons for confidence.

    Of course, these Yankee starters are partly responsible for the Yanks 29+ record. And they don't have to face hot Sox bats every day. But come playoff time... that's our opening.
