  1. Can we just forget the notion of spending $10M for Richards? He failed period. U want to give unproven reliever that kind of $? R u that stupid?
  2. 51 pitches after 4 innings......looks like we're being patient at the plate. You know working the counts.
  3. After complaining about lack of patience at the plate yesterday, he sits Schwarber. You know the guy that worked a 9 pitch walk in addition to hitting a home run.
  4. 3, 2 were homers. It's all or nothing with these guys....
  5. Not sure if you can get Devers for $25M.....it's only two years away. If defense is what we're looking for then you trade Devers for young arms, one major league ready and another on the way.
  6. I'll go with "which rather you have to die for $500, Alex" What is fatal gunshot?
  7. I sure would be tempted to give Scherzer whatever he wants.....
  8. Are we a better team with $30M Devers, Dalbec and Casas or $30M Ace, Dalbec and Casas?
  9. I'm only attributing Richards to you and you have a valid point. I think I agree with you on majority of issues.
  10. Soooo, so far we've had 3 hits against the pushover Orioles. These guys run up scores when things go their way......when things get tight, butt cheeks close. We think we need to pay $30M to Devers. We think we need to give Xander a raise on his current $20M salary. We think we should give $8M starting pitcher a $18M contract even though he's having a mediocre year. Oh don't forget, his peripherals look better than reality. We think we should pick up the $10M option on a starting pitcher that failed. We think he can be a pretty good reliever. All because we don't want to pay the $1.5M option fee we'll be stuck with...........Moon you sound like my ex-wife. Spend $10M so we don't lose $1.5M. Rays just laugh, laugh and laugh at us. According to many here, we need to spend $240M to be competitive. Rays just laugh, laugh, laugh.
  11. 3 hits and 2 walks ain't going to do it folks.... BTW, Kike is .697 OPS for September.
  12. I'm not bashing the Sox but IT'S GETTING TIRESOME TO HERE MOON AND OTHERS CLAIM WE WERE NOT EXPECTED TO DO WELL AFTER EVERY LOSS. This is not a middle school team. You think Schwarber/Sale are okay with the excuse "well we didn't expect you to win anyway?" Do you think any player is happy to know that they were wasting one year of their careers?
  13. To think Sale was not going to give up a home run vs Orioles is unrealistic. We only have 3 hits.
  14. I figure Orioles will hit couple of home runs.....we need score 6...
  15. Today's lineup works for me for next year.
  16. Schwarber is better hitter than JD
  17. We all want consistency.....that's all. We all know going in who gets the benefit of doubt. It can be a pitcher or it can be a hitter. Also just because a pitcher misses the glove doesn't make it a ball.
  18. thank you....it means something. Now we may go against the trend but it does not look good for us. Longer the game goes, our chances weaken against the Yankees. Their offense stacks up better against our pitching than vice versa.
  19. There are signs pointing against the Sox’ chances, too, such as the fact they are 8-21 against winning teams since the July 30 trade deadline and that they lost their final six matchups (and 3 of the last 12) against the Yankees. Not all is good here.
  20. When you're the starter, you know what your team is doing. It's not about pitching a quality start. That does no good if you see zeros going up on your side of scoreboard. He had a one run lead and gave up two. That's what mediocre pitchers do. He probably goes to bed pleased with himself if we lose 3-1.
  21. Lets bring him back at $7M right Moon?
  22. He's a wuss along the lines of Barnes.....And we're going to offer $18M?
  23. Here we go......death of E Rod....he'll blow up this inning....better take him out before they score multiple runs...
  24. Oh, they hate them without the gold gloves....
  25. He can play LF at Fenway. He's better hitter than Verdugo facing a lefty.
